as i'm looking at the 4 Darksiders inspired customs, i realize i've spent a minimum of $100 on each one , which makes me feel easier about putting my own spin on them, anyways Death is almost done, though i ordered figs to take accessories to make him another scythe so i may not post til then. also ordered/purchased some parts to start making Fury's whip and let me tell you that thing is gonna come out as nice if not nicer than Death's scythes A quick update, while I'm waiting on paint to dry, I love when things just fall in my lap. For wks I'd been looking to get War something a bit more "Chaos Eater" inspired instead of just GoW Ares sword and it wasn't til I got the parts in to create the 2nd scythe that it hit me. The 2 ghoulish looking faces that hold the scythe together to move, once I broke them apart to free the scythe I was like hey I could put these on the sword, it made me wish I knew where the original 2 were that I had but I'll make due, so just a small update, everything's drying before being black washed, sealed and finally put together
SHIPPING UPDATE... for AMERICA..!! Todd McFarlane ProductionCreator February 2, 2021 The first boat is in the Los Angeles harbor!!!! I know you folks have been waiting patiently for your figures (thank you for that), well, the first shipment is here in the LA area waters. The next step it for the authorities to allow that boat to be able to offload its cargo. The unknown is when the Customs and Immigration folks will give the boat its slot to come into a drydock to drop off the first container full of figures. If you haven’t seen in the news, the United States seaports where the ocean cargo is getting unloaded are so crowded, that boats now have to wait in line (sometimes for days) before getting their chance. Below is a link to a news story from THE WALL STREET JOURNAL giving more details: Port Delays Leave Cargo Ships Stranded off U.S. Pacific Gateways WHO WILL BE SENDING ME A TRACKING NUMBER? FedEX will be picking up the packages as soon as they get to a warehouse. They will then begin their process of labelling the packages, assign and send out tracking numbers and then begin delivering that first container full (of about 5,000 boxes). Once they assign a tracking number, an email will be sent to you through Pledgbox with your tracking information. If you do not see any email from Pledgebox in your inbox, make sure to check your JUNK or SPAM folder! WHAT IF MY ITEM WASN’T ON THE FIRST BOAT? Currently, there is a second boat that is about 6 days behind the first boat with another container full, and a third boat with another container about a week behind the second boat. So, in quick order all three ships will be in the harbors. The unknown is when they all will be given instructions to unload. We’ll try to keep you updated as things progress. And once again thanks for all of your support. TODD
Likely the single. If I remember correctly from the previous update, singles were being shipped first and 3 packs were being shipped last.
From my understanding was the singles are on the first boat and the 3-packs are on the second. Something like that.
Saw Liu Kang and purple variant Sub Zero today. This has to be the most calm and/or bored Liu Kang likeness I have ever seen on an action figure. It’s like he’s meditating with eyes open. Sub Zero looked okay. Hoping Shao Kahn is bigger than these other figures overall. Hoping Todd makes figures from that animated Scorpion movie and that the figures can move well. I was surprised by it.
So how to pass the time while waiting for KS Spawn? How bout finishing up my Darksiders inspired Death, oh and updating War's sword..... it wasn't til I was putting Death together and realized why Darksiders strayed from the traditional "Grim Reaper" look.....Skeletor, I swear you'd think this was a Skeletor cosplay, but I had a vision and I stuck to it though this is slightly temporary bcuz I want to use DM Supes legs instead of BM, still I'm pretty happy how it all turned out, I painted the straps and buckles as if the were made of bone bcuz I'm silly like that, and spent a pretty penny to get the 2nd scythe, but it really sells the essence of the figure imho. Now all that's left is Fury, though I'm actually working on her whip right now bcuz I had this bomb @$$ idea using a necklace, wire. I'm also waiting for the hilt and end spike of the whip to show up. I was going to use some DCC Catwoman claw hands but they're tiny so the search continues there as well. Last I decided to add some Chaos to War's sword and have it less Ares GoW. Took the parts off the Dante's Inferno Death's scythe from both scythes, painted, removed Zues head and replaced giving it that more ghoulish look. The last thing I really need to do is not be lazy and make the holsters for Strife, as well as create his daggers (looking at using Kratos' Blades of Chaos for that). I'm at least hoping to have part of Fury done before I leave for Korea for a year, I'll at least have parts from 2/3 figures i want to use
... Huh. Anyone else getting a distinctly Mike Mignola vibe from the shape of that head (the mouth specifically). It’s like Cygor through a Hellboy lens. Edit: Case in point... https://www.writeups.org/wp-content/uploads/Hellboy-Comics-Mignola-h2.jpg Double Edit: Might be wrong, but I think it’s the Cygor from the old Art of Spawn two-pack.
I was wondering if it might be that as the sculpt looked a bit dated. Plus I don’t own that particular figure. Meh to it being a Target exclusive but at least it’s still available for preorder. Only really want this and the Batwoman to go with my hellbat armor.
Hope this is true, as they look great. Also, apparently there’s a leak that states we’ll get a Suicide Squad wave.
He's holding a Medieval Spawn. Kind of looks like the original from Dark Ages, but man, I would truly enjoy one with better articulation.
Cowboy Spawn would be a pass for me, but damn if I wouldn't be down for Redeemer. a Suicide Squad wave honestly wouldn't be surprising at this point since Todd's also apparently doing a Snyder Justice League wave. I expect if he's wise he'll do like Hasbro does with Marvel Legends and lean into the big media tie-ins.
