Too movie verse... even for Prime... the chicken legs... oi vey! I like the idea of having the wheels on the feet double as "skates" but ugh... the design is waaaaay too movie-inspired. >_<

That said... those wanting a toy... we already have it. Seriously, there's quite a few versions of movie Sideswipe now... find a lambo and reshell... give a new head... BOOM. done.

Yes! This is the Sideswipe i wish is the movie version of himself. If he was to return for TF4, make him look like this. :D

He looks more like a very simplified Movie Sideswipe cosplaying as G1 Sideswipe rather than a blend of the two. Still, I'd like to see a Movie Sideswipe get repainted like this.

    :lol

Good artwork, but a little too much the movie design with some Geewunny bits tacked on for my taste. I'd be hard-pressed to find a good balance either though.

Really hate this a lot. Hate to be another negative nelly, but just seeing this reminds me there's still "bay juice" leaking out of the gaping wound in the transformers franchise...

People are right to hate the bayformers, We SHOULD be rehashing the similiar old designs of the eightys until the end of the franchise.

  This man speaks the truth.

In all seriousness this is a great combination of the two designs.

That concept art is a great amalgam of Movie and G1 Sideswipe. I like it.

I love this, but I'm not surprised he's so heavily inspired by the movie version. :p

While I like some of the movie designs, particularly Optimus, Bumblebee and Starscream, I think its a bit ignorant to lump everyone who doesn't like them into the usual "Geewun" group. People are allowed to not like an aesthetic without the reason being that they only want G1.

This whole G1 Vs Movie crap is getting really old. Both sides do it and its just stupid. I dislike the movies and I like G1, but that's nothing to do with the fact that the movies are unlike G1; its to do with the fact that the movies sucked.

On topic, while I really did like Sideswipe's movie design, I really don't think this works well as a Prime character. I just think he'd look very out of place next to the Prime characters.

Should Sideswipe ever appear in Transformers Prime, I think Polygon would do so with their own aesthetics, while adhering to core design. I think his, chicken-like legs, however, would be changed to standard legs to match that of the cast.

His blades might be retooled too or changed entirely. I know other characters have similar weapons, but would we really see another Autobot with Ratchet's set up--he's pretty useless in ranged warfare.
