I read an article on this Dell...errr...Alienware monitor just the other day. Can't remember exactly where though. I don't think it was CNN.com. Yeah, pretty cool.
Considering the problems with curent games and poorly configurable FOV's(usually not supporting above 110, if it'll let you configure it beyond 90, then there's the other issue of widescreen gaming meaning chopping off the top and bottom instead of adding to the sides so you actually see less), why do I want a curved monitor?
I must be the only PC gamer I know who does not care about this thing one bit. Even if I had tons of money to blow I would not buy this thing. Also, that woman fails beyond belief for seeing Crysis on that and immediately thinking "World or Warcrap!!1"
that would replace my dual monitor setup nicely... i don't do any pc gaming, but i can think of great uses for it with animation, video editing, basically any computer related work i find 2 monitors useful for.
Yeah, upon seeing it I instantly thought it would just be a much better thing to have than dual/triple monitors. Can't imagine too many games would be configured to work with it.
Looking at it, it probably is 3 screens combined into one. I'd imagine 3 different DVI imputs for each screen.
No interest in it whatsoever, and that is coming from a big PC gamer. Alienware is such a horribly stupidly over priced ripoff. Shame people seem to go gaga over them...ugh, espescially for their PCs, you can build something just as good at a fraction of the price on those.
I woulden't touch it with a bargepole, wake me up when there is an LCD version with decent resolution.
Actually, they said the apparent seams were just a flaw in manufacturing, and the production version will be one unbroken screen.
