Wow totally cancelled any idea of even getting this after my Firage came in.

Alien attack figures look amazing in both modes but the joints and hinges are scary as heck. Too frail and easy to break. My firage came with 2 hinges about to break.

After Firage I can't risk this.
After unique toys Peru kill I know I can trust the unique toys take on this prime.

I mean, Ben basically can’t say anything bad.

So, how are the front wheels supposed to tab in truck mode? In Ben's review, they're clearly flopping around, same in the wotafa review. They're not attached.

Mine was good. It's a finicky fiddly toy. Imagine fine porcelain. That's how you handle him.

I don't like ALOT of the figure. But posed in both modes it looks DAMN good. I don' feel cheated, even if UTs winds up being better.

That's a few good opinions and reviews but the people with missing parts, assembly errors and broken pieces out of the box seems to be more common. That's more the enough to make me not have to think twice about avoiding this figure.

    Ebay:
I was going to get both. Now I'm kinda waiting to see what UT's looks like, and TFEVO as well.

    Ebay:
They peg into the back of the robot mode’s upper legs it’s a small rectangular tab. Trick is the legs have to be lined up perfectly when you tab them them so the wheels won’t look crooked

That's not correct. The front wheels connect to the arms, the bicep panel in fact. Then, they tab on the sides of the vehicle under the fender pieces.

It sounds like you're talking about the rear wheels.

The people who are positive about firage are mostly fine with getting the figure into one mode and keeping it like a statue. As a TF it's pretty bad. Anyway I would still consider El CID if it wasn't for the unique toys version which is going to be better in likely every way especially quality which is very important for third party figures.

Right I agree that it has to be handled delicately. And that's what I don't like in my collection.

I'm betting on the unique toys being rock solid like Peru kill and makes owning this a hassle as it's clearly inferior. If the ut is also a failure then I'll just keep my Calibur leader prime.

It is a TERRIBLE Transforming Toy. It' more of a transformable statue. The paint on mine is great.

I know that's what they're supposed to do, but it appears to be physically impossible. The bicep sits too low and is slightly too forward, so nothing lines up.

I'll be honest, I was incredibly fortunate to get the one I have. I don't ignore that point at all, I know many weren't so fortunate. That really sucks.

That said, based on my experience, if you can get a good one, it should be a good figure. The transformation isn't for everyone, that's true, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it's a transformable statue.

I do worry about longevity, I do think is intended to be a Masterpiece, rather than a CHUG, but it's by no means a perfect or imperfect figure. With the plastic quality, the intricate transformation, the overall design, it's ambitious without having the fortitude to live up to its promises.

I've had better figures, I've had worse, I think that's the most infuriating thing, it does nothing great, yet you can tell they wanted it to. Fortunately, they priced it far below what you can tell they originally intended it to be.

Me, personally, I love it but I can absolutely understand why people hate it. It's just... Dang, there's so much here and not enough execution to go with it.

I can't even tell you how many times I've transformed it. The paint looks battle damaged, now. I just can't stop.
