This is now a $100 statue. Never to be transformed again. Definitely not worth $100 for a statue like this.

I have it back in guy mode. Still looks cool, but if I can’t return it I’ll get the parts replaced and sell this guy. Very sad.

Only shooting stars break the mold

Also, KL and wotafa put up their two cents. After these latest assessments, I think the figure's not bad, it's just not for me. Very happy with my origami TLK Voyager Prime, even if it's super small and chunky munky

I feel kind of bad for Alien Attack. They come up with a super complex design that must have taken a lot of time and effort, but poor execution makes it all for naught.

The quality isn't itself the fault of the toy, it's the engeenering.

I know, some of you dislike UT's challenger because of how blocky-ish he looks, but at least UT knows how to pull a smooth transformation. and being complex at the same time.

So uh...two hours in. Popped off numerous parts, pulled a pin out of soft plastic, noticed a few paint scuffs in the alt mode. And he is currently in some kind of deformed gerwalk mode.

    Wow.

Worafa's three pointers to note before buying the figure:

1: Be prepared to modify it (a lot).
    2: Don't expect too much.
    3: Don't buy it.

I'm not joking. That's what he said. He also said he had to modify it a lot and that he won't be able to go through all of I in the video. When buying the figure, don't expect it to turn out like his in his video.

Making a figure that is too complex IS their fault though. That automatically makes it harder to execute, AND less fun for most of us. They should have refined the design from the start.

UT must have been breathing down their neck. Or maybe they saw UT's design and saw three choices: "Be first, be smarter, or cheat". They went with the first option.

I pretty much stopped doing reviews to focus on animation, but I'm thinking I may have to do a "Buyer Beware" video. I wouldn't want anyone going into this without knowing what they could encounter. It if was $40, I may be able to justify it by never transforming it... but it is NOT an option for Stop motion, I can tell you that! The ratchets are RIDICULOUSLY clicky and tight. And that arm joint?!? What were they thinking? When putting the arm straight up it rotates the joint to the front of the chest, instead of centered like normal.. its so screwy.. and that's not even including the poor shoulder Pad design.. how did NONE of this get stopped in the prototype phase?!?

Seriously considering returning or attempting to sell this thing at a loss. I mean, I have MANY figures that are basically statues, but it's not because I can't transform them. I gave up after 2 hours last night. Ben's video only gets you so far because of the missing bits in the jump-cuts. This isn't really a transformation one just figures out.

The biggest issues are the following:

-Push waist forward, until it stops. (Hip and codpiece armor will push out of the way.)

    -Rotate the waist.

-The hood pieces are on a swivel that also slides. It's quite small, but it's there, make sure you use it properly. You'll need to use it as you're forming the truck nose.

-The hood pieces must go under the windshield until you hear it click in the track. (You will hear it click.)

As soon as you get all of this done, close up the fenders and the nose, immediately. This is the biggest issue, by far. Once that's taken care of, the rest is just flipping panels and connecting tabs.

I think something is just misaligned in mine right now. I cannot get the front end to hold together. I tab the wheels in with the slightest pressure and the whole thing blows up. I'll definitely give the pointers a shot though. Thank you!

You're welcome. I hope it works out. Slow and steady wins the race fits here. Once you get it down, then you can start to speed up. It has to be learned, then relearned to be perfect.
