Saw him at the very beginning of the tour (2nd show) in Quebec City, had a good time! Also saw him in Vancouver (2005) and Ottawa (2007). New album is great btw. Yeah, Alice does sometimes try to sound current, but Alice is still Alice.
Cooper for life, yo. Anyone who is a fan of his should go and pick up the comic book authored by Neil Gaiman entitled 'The Last Temptation'. A truly amazing read with fantastic art.
Alice Cooper is one of my favourite artists EVER! I like almost everything he's done, both as a solo artist and as a member of the original Alice Cooper band. The only Cooper albums I don't like are his glam albums. I think his new album is decent enough, but not one of his best.
He ok, he probably get's the best drugs in the biz. Sells the leftovers to iggy pop who can barely handle the strong cooper stuff. Which's homegrown from keith richards house.
I have a few of his albums and really like them (Hey Stoopid is one of my all-time favorite albums), but haven't picked up any of his material since Brutal Planet, which I thought was mostly terrible. Might have to give one of his newer albums a try, at some point.
My 20th birthday present from my folks was accommodation in Newcastle to see Alice Cooper at the Royal Theatre.....then my dickhead of a school coordinator wouldn't let me sit an exam early, with about three weeks notice, so I could go. Saw him interviewed on Michael Parkinson; very charming and articulate man. Great showman and stage performer. For Great Justice, here's the man himself performing on The Muppet Show in 1978: Alice Cooper Welcome To My Nightmare(The Muppet Show 1978) - YouTube
Alice is the bomb. Loved his stuff from the moment I saw him in Wayne's World. I only actually have one CD of his, got it well over 10 years ago. Unfortunately, 99.9% of music shops don't carry his works here in Taiwan.
If you're a fan! Complete show played at the Whiskey yesterday and broadcasted on the radio (it's the official website). 95.5 KLOS Southern California's Best Rock
Brutal Planet & Dragontown (the album released after) were done in the same industrial metal/rock style. The Eyes, Dirty Diamonds, Along Came a Spider and Welcome 2 My Nightmare sound more like the Alice you probably know.
holy crap, an Alice Cooper thread!! Permit me to wax a little long... Sha Na Na was my FIRST concert, but Coop was the first one i REMEMBER. Got into him when Trash came out, and learning "Poison" was my first song towards becoming a rock musician. I was 12. I then went all the way back to Pretties For You. My favorite albums at the time were School's Out, Billion Dollar Babies, and Welcome To My Nightmare. Followed by Constrictor, Raise Your Fist and Yell, Trash and Hey Stoopid. Years later i got into From The Inside, and i think it's my new favorite. I can't stop listening to it. Welcome 2 was awesome, and i played a bunch of it on my radio show. I REALLY want to see him in concert again, and I hope i can soon. This year for halloween, I was the Coop for my band's show. Here's a couple pics. the eyes in the front skull lit up, and cycled the colors. Homemade.
