Parts are now screwed into place, Wings are now attached with the same method, so to transform the metal pieces are bent, that part might be temporary.

    Vehicle mode tabs together well.
Clearance is a little tight, but the transformation still works.

5mm ports are in a nice position for weapons, bit haven't decide what to pair her with yet.

Some comparisons. Despite having the same size alt, it is smaller than the original Vehicon.

I've been fairly disappointed with backpack encumbered fembots we've been getting in the main toyline.

So I've been attempting to create a better base toy that results in much less backpack kibble, I was inspired to try this after I saw the upcoming earthrise arcee and the backbreaking kibble she's carrying.

    IMG_20200920_170759767.jpg

A hybrid between t30 windblade and prime rid vehicon, I thought the vehicons transformation would be a perfect fit as a majority of the car ends up in the legs, the back wheels are attached to the nubs that once held windblades wings.

    IMG_20200920_170504832.jpg IMG_20200920_170347629.jpg IMG_20200920_170314417.jpg

I hope to put a way to allow the doors to sit on the back as wings, but I'm still trying to figure out how, I've also discovered that super glue is useless on Windblade's plastic as after taking these photos the wheel fenders fell off, so I need to find a better way of securing them in place.

The vehicle mode still works very well apart from the folded up hands at the back, I'm not sure if I'll keep using Windblade's original forearms or replace them with better ones that can fold away.

Anyone know what to use instead of super glue?

I really really want this project to succeed. I also think they could do more creative panel origami, like they did with the Vehicons' legs, to reduce extraneous kibble and ridiculous backpacks.

I don't personally have any specific recommendations, but there are some here.

I assume you already did this, but if you haven't, I'd definitely recommend washing the parts to be glued (and/or painted) first in a de-greaser dish soap, like Dawn, to remove even tiny traces of oils left by fingers.

    Best of luck!

Try using a pin to reinforce the super glue.

This is a fantastic idea! Reminds me of the Alternity Seekers and how they used the car shapes to make a jet looking robot mode. The use of wheels as the vtol engines is clever. I can’t wait to see it go on!

This is already really really cool.

I wonder if you couldn't scratch-build some rear end material out of styrene and mount it on the underside of her forearms. Maybe make them identical so it doesn't matter which one ends up on top? Or go full Side Burn and have the rear bumper pop off and be a 'crossbow'.

I'm actually doing something similar with an FE Prime Arcee body and Vehicon legs. Might make her Minerva.

Nice. That’s something I dislike about fembots: so much focus on making them look “feminine” that they don’t use the alt mode for robot party’s and end up being shellformers.

That's a good idea! The last two Arcee figures have been atrocious (Cyberverse and Earthrise) as far as shell forming and backpacks is concerned. I feel they could have done much better without needing to sacrifice much if any of the robot mode. This just proves me right.
