    ALDNOAH.ZERO Trailer 2 - YouTube

Aldnoah.Zero is a new mecha series currently being broadcast over in Japan, and hosted online at sites like Crunchyroll and Daisuki:

Is anyone here following it so far?

(Since the first three eps are out, I'd recommend anyone with an interest in the show try all three at once - and to watch to the very end of the third episode.)

Ooooo, a mecha series created by Urobuchi (the same guy who wrote the script for Puella Magi Madoka Magica)?! Color me interested, might get that when it hits DVD/Blu-ray.

It's awesome. I'm digging it. Mostly because of this face. (Yes, she's holding an MLG. Git rekt.)

I was kinda shocked that about 5 characters died in episode 2, but I'm told the writer worked on Attack on Titan and High School of the Dead in the past, so apparently that's not supposed to be surprising.

Also, if you're watching episode 3, stay after the credits. You won't regret it.

It has been getting better with each episode.

Wrecker, the write is Gen Urobutchy, who has done Psycho Pass, Madoka, and Kamen Rider Gaim.

Well, I never really did my research on TV and anime before. Director, maybe?

It had a great first episode, though these last two haven't really caught my attention quite as well.

I'm not one for a lot of mecha shows, but I have loved everything I've seen of Urobuchi's work, so I knew I had to give it a shot.

    I quite like it.

It felt a little cliché after the first episode, but is improving. Although I'm still not a fan of the deadpan genius main character.

I agree. During a missile attack, he's checking for coupons on eggs, then during a citywide evacuation, he's making an omelette.

Reminded way too much of Code Geass during episode 2, not that that is a bad thing necessarily. Just hope it breaks away from the cliches and does it's own thing down the road.

Stoic boy winning with the power of (pseudo-)science once again! It'll be awesome to see how many more ways they can think of to show him being clever before he'll have to upgrade his Cataphrakt.

And the fight music is pretty darn cool.

Man, this map of Earth post-Heavens Fall is really amazing. Now I understand why they didn't list Washington DC during their landing, it's not even there anymore!

Also, figured out where I went wrong previous page. Same soundtrack composer as Attack on Titan, not director/writer as I previously thought :redface2:

    Still, music is awesome

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ooLp01_BBmo (can't find one on youtube with Eng. subs :redface2:  so here's a vimeo one)

Oh woah... I hadn't even picked up on that. That's pretty cool!

South America, man. What could they have possibly done to the Martians?!

I'm gonna assume that the Vers had decided that during Heavens Fall, which none of them planned on having (the hypergate went haywire), they would try to control the newly made meteors hit every major city on the planet. That's why the entire East and West coast of the US are gone, as well as the whole UK and part of Australia. I don't think the total erasing of Brazil and parts of India, Southeast Asia (RIP Vietnam ;_; ), Greenland and Africa were intentional.
