Did anyone notice that when Frenzy got off the plane to get into Barricade that the plane used was definitely not a 747 ? If you look at the under carriage there is only 2 sets of landing gear instead of like 4 or 6 or whatever that massive plane uses ?

 

Yea I noticed that. I also noticed that cars turned into hulking robots and we all know that aint real.. PLOT HOLE?!?!

 

I pointed out a continuity issue and that was it. You didn't have to be like that if you don't care for what was posted.

 

It's been noticed. Apparently the plane shown in the air and the one one the ground are even different models, just the one on the ground is made up to look like Air Force One.

 

It's likely just a cost issue. Finding stock footage of Air Force One flying is probably easy and cheap*, but renting a 747 just to paint it up for one short scene would be pointlessly expensive, so they probably just used a pre-existing model.

You know this is getting ridiculous. I put up a post for the sake of conversation on a forum. Go figure. And all of a sudden people are crackin' jokes because of the content ?
I don't even know what the hell this is leading to if people can't simply come here just for the purpose of discussing topics on the movie. I sort of thought this was a movie forum TO DISCUSS THE MOVIE!

That doesn't neccessarily excuse it. The intention of the post was not to invite unwiseasses to come up in here and make dumb jokes. Since when does asking a question to the general population of the message board be subjected to walking a tight rope ? I'll ask what I please as so it doesn't intentionally offend anyone here.

Now if it was just a budgetary constraint fine. However there are probably alot of continuity comments and questions still to come but hell why not discuss them here. I thought that's what the point was.

i noticed it as well though for real.. It probably cost much much less to have a smaller plane and thats a good thing cause they got to spend the money saved on some kick ass action and cgi!!

could consider also that people don't necessarily have all day to go trolling through 2000 threads to see if there little bit of interesting info they wanted to share with the world was stated already, and before anybody says search engine it still takes a decent bit of time to hunt through your search results, when it takes what 5 seconds to type the sentence about the plane being different.

 

Or people could just stop being asses to one another...

Im thinking that there is something on the real Air Force one that the general public cant see. Thusly, they used a different plane. If you want to see Air Force one, then watch the movie Air Force One its the best representation of that plane the general public will ever get probably. As for why they didn't use a 747 for that shot anyway, I have no idea, might've cost too much.
