Well, they said they might bring Beast Wars characters into Prime...

But at the same time, it's almost Beast Wars's 15th Anniversary.

my best guess is that we will be getting some sort of Tarantulas related figure in the generations line.

Last time we saw Tarantulas was his BW 10th Anniversary figure, under the name "Predacon Tarantulus". Tarantulas is probably harder to defend being nothing more than the plural of tarantula, but I don't see Hasbro losing the name and making one up that's so radically different. Tarantulas never flew, and even his TM vehicle mode was ground-based.

Didn't Mr. Archer state at one of the Hasbro Panels that he would like to see Beast Wars figures presented in the classics line? :)

Ooooh and how about some modern design BEAST MACHINES figures? Woot! Botanica anyone? :) ))))

So far the most plausable idea is that it's a PCC. I'd buy that. Grimstone needs' a brudder

    This.

I would love to see both bots and cons trashed by a third unique race of robots. Then some loose cross faction collaborations. Awesome. I would love TF:p  to explore this in more depth. Screw with peoples minds!!!

I'm going to go with the PCC theory. Just cause I want to see a PCC made out of bugs.

If it is for the Prime series, this should be interesting. Predacons could be a rebel group. If Hasbro really wanted some fun, make the dones Vehicons. Then add the Maximals as an elite unit working for the Autobots. Allowing five factions in one series.

If it is for the Generation line, looks like I'll be buying from the line after all.

I'm still hoping it's a new tripple-changer character: robot / spider / helicopter (with the spider legs forming the helicopter blades.)

Perhaps Hasbro are making some new beast wars figures to go in the Generations scout class, along with Windcharger.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is Tarantulas or something for Generations :D

I can't help feeling that the eventual truth will be somewhat underwhelming, though I hope to be proved wrong.

A helicopter or jet that transforms into a spider is a win-winner for me. There need to be more Vehicle to Beast Transformers out there.

I have no idea what this is. My blind, unlikely hope is that it indicates some BW 15th anniversary love and heralds some new, better rhinox and blackarachnia molds

New Beast Machine figures is a must. Most of the show characters had toys that didn't look like them or were off scale. I been waiting for a Leader class Tankor, a Supreme class or bigger Megatron head with spaceship mode, Voyager Skrika and Obsidian. New Silverbolt, Rattrap and Nightscream should be made as Deluxes. I would buy a reborn Rhinox.

Oh man... a new BW Tarantulas would kick ass. I hope that's what we're getting. If not, at least make a great toy out of it Hasbro.

And I thought they weren't making toys for Prime.

Not sure what it is but a few thoughts.

For a while they have been messing with the idea that the more machine Transformers aren't very fond of the more organic Transformers. Back in G1 the Decepticons found the Insecticons rather disgusting and some of the Autobots were not exactly over joyed with the Dinobots. By the time you get to Animated Transformers with an organic side to them are outcasts like Blackarachnia. Perhaps the organic alt form Transformers form their own faction somewhere in the fiction instead of being the dregs of more the more traditional Transformers society.

Beast Wars stuff in Generations wouldn't be bad either. I really loved some of the Transmetal figures so I could only imagine what they could do with them given how far the toys have advanced since then.

Could be something that isn't that big, but it's nice to think up all the crazy stuff for a while.

They seemed pretty proud of their unrevealed Prime Prime (tee hee) toy design though.

Airachnid, with a Predacon symbol, is a strong call-back to the Beast Wars Microverse set Arachnid. Though what if anything that means is anyone's guess. Still, the name makes me think of some Transmetal spider thing where the eight legs turn into wings and the pedipalps turn into a propeller.

My guess it’s related to the TF3 toys line, maybe those robotic creatures are the result of an experiment conducted by our favorite one-eyed purple decepticon scientist, that we see infesting earth by the end of the movie? As you remember, we’ve seen the NEST guys shoot up, but also down towards the ground.
We’ve all seen the magnitude of the destruction on the set, a swarm of metal eating giant cybertronian insects could be a reasonable explanation.
