I have been humbled today. for the first time in about 2 1/2 weeks, i was able to go to wal-mart (been having vision problems) and as i was trying to see what new TF gear they had on the shelf, i saw the last Incinerator figure stacked between a megatron and Starscream. i picked him up, intending to buy with the hope that when my vision improved, i would then play with him. As i am holding Incinerator, a 3 foot tall, no older than 5 Asian kid (no offense here, i honestly could not see well enough to determine ethnicity, and hell, i live near an army base that brings people from all over through here) walks up to me and like an adult.... "Hi." I said hello back. "Which one do you have?" "incinerator." "where did you get him?" I honestly turned around and showed him the spot where i found him and started looking for another one. "Starscream." he became excited. "Yeah, starscream is nice." "No, starscream is bad. He killed megatron on the shuttle." "He did that." "yeah, he threw megatron away." i was trying to say the toy was nice, and the kid told me that starscream in general was bad. i put incinerator down, on top of a movie starscream and walked off. i think a kid that precocious deserved a shot at the last incinerator in the store. i hope he got it. damn kids are just like Mrs. Brisby and the rats of Nimh. they're always smarter than ya think and show it when you aren't paying attention. shoot me for letting go of that toy, but sometimes respect comes first.
great story. Real irony of him saying starscream was "bad" for throwing megatron away (the baddest of the bad...) Either way its great. Curious...What megatron and starscreams were on your wallyworld shelves?
they were the movie megs/starscream (voyager class) it was the first time i had seen the starscream at Wally world myself (flat gray) and i liked him. but incinerator will be mine....just gotta snag him when wise kids aren't around, lol.
See Hasbro the kids are catching on. They are expecting the toys NOW. Good job jorod74, that was really nice of you.
