AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Will Cross-Over With AGENT CARTER For Its Upcoming Final Season

EW has revealed that the team's time-travel adventures will bring them into contact with a character from the now defunct Agent Carter.

There's no mention of Hayley Atwell reprising the role of Peggy Carter, but her costar Enver Gjokaj will return as Daniel Sousa.

"It wasn't anywhere near my brain," says Gjokaj, who was surprised when the opportunity to return to his Agent Carter role arose. "I would've been thrilled at any moment for it to come back, but I think as an actor you don't have time. You just have to move on to the next project."

There was speculation that AOS Season 7 might feature some kind of Agent Carter nod or reference when the crew jumped back to 1931 New York in the Season 6 finale, but an actual cameo appearance from one of the cancelled show's characters seemed like a long-shot.

When we last saw Sousa he was running the SSR's Los Angeles bureau and had grown very close to Peggy, but on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. we're going to "see him in a different light" according to co-showrunner Jeff Bell. "[Sousa] had a particular role on [Agent Carter], and so we were able to show another color of him that you hadn't necessarily seen on the show."

I never saw the last season. Last thing I remember was that Coulson was dead, again, and inside some fantasy world with May at a beach.

That last season is super important (rather boring at parts but important)

I didn’t either, the disregard of continuity was a turn off for me.

Coulson is dead as of now, what we have here, is an advanced LMD. Introduced at the end of season 6.

The character Gregg played in season 6 was his essence(I think) given physical form, but that character was a villain.

    It was complicated.

The fifth season did end with Coulson with May at a beach, but he wasn't dead yet.
Considering they probably didn't want to spoil Infinity War and Endgame, it makes sense that they would probably disregard continuity. I honestly just look at it being post Snap and the reason nobody brings it up is because a Coulson look alike is on the loose.

The production team for the show probably weren't even given any Infinity War/Endgame spoilers (I mean, even the Avengers actors themselves weren't given the whole picture, just their own lines). I think the 1-year timeskip at the beginning of S6 was an attempt to dodge all of that, but it turns out they were too conservative and thus screwed up any semblance of continuity they could have had.

They also said that ABC went back and forth on when to release S6, does it come out before Endgame or after Endgame, so that affected any kind of connection, how can you work on S6 without knowing if it'll be out before or after Endgame, best option was to focus on its own story and not worry about the film

Wasn't able to see the S7 Premiere here in San Antonio.

A major thunderstorm with hail rolled over the city and the local news was covering it live over the whole episode.

Hmm, I wonder if my PVR managed to catch it...

[edit] Ah, it's flagged for 10PM on my station/timezone. But the recording's set, so it looks like I'm good.

    Loved it.

Great season opener, the guy playing FDR was pretty good, the plot twists were clever, the dialogue snappy. Fun and exciting, no complaints here.

Fairly good premiere. A good bit of fun dialogue and lots of nice character moments (I've never felt Deke was right for Daisy until now, they played off each other in a fun way here; Yo-Yo's sub-plot was pretty strong). The ending fight was cool. The Chronicoms are weak villains though and
I enjoyed Coulson's one-liners; he's as funny as ever. But I really don't like this direction. The "does he have a soul" theme has already been covered extensively in S4 and that's all that separates this LMD from the real thing - he is Coulson. Having him back weakens his death in S5 and walks back on a lot of the character development for the others. They couldn't not have Clark as a regular for this finals eason, but they should have come up with a different soultion - keep Sarge somehow or find another role.

For some reason I thought this show ended last year.

Are the last few seasons even worth watching? Netflix has them, right? Do they tie into the MCU anymore? I heard they didn't even talk about the blip happening, but maybe I am mistaken.

The last episode I watched had Ghost Rider defeating the LMD lady that wanted to use the Darkhold to become a real boy (I think her name was Ava) and everyone got transported into space or something.

I still haven't seen season 6 yet. Ill probably end up waiting for season 7 to come out on netflix and then maybe binge the entire series at once. Season 5 left a bad taste in my mouth so I'm not at all anxious to get this going.
