Yep. That whole sudden thing where apparently bionics are a thing pretty much telegraphed that. Possibly means more Dethlok, too. Kinda wanna see him again. HYDRA is gone for good? HYDRA ain't dead. Red Skull is still out there. The whole bit with Kraken earlier in the season was to show that HYDRA was split between the kooks who believed in a melting rock and the super logical Nazis. I mean, they're NAZIS. They're the archtypical super criminal organization everybody always loves to see get their shit kicked in. Though I will admit I really hope the Watchdogs fill that role because goddamn they were less than useless this season.
I could have sworn at the end of the first Captain America movie, he was disintegrated by the Tesseract. Or was he actually transported to another place? I'll have to go hunt down a clip of it. *edit* Ok. Found it on YouTube. It looks more like he was transported (against his will) to another place in space or something. Though, it's interesting you never see or know where. I guess this leaves it open for his possible return? As far as the emo Daisy is concerned, it looked like she was able to utilize her powers in a more....."familiar" manner? It'd be interesting to see what happens to her/ what becomes of her.
Hive. Although they modified it a bit... It's what they used to scramble his memories at the missile silo.
Not bad. Whelming to be honest. Clearly they're to leave us wondering who the new Director is, why Daisy is on the run, and who the Life Model Decoy/Duplicate is going to be and can open up in the future (Though you wonder why they'd be going down that route after Ultron and indeed if there's any laws against nowadays in the MCU). All that was somewhat meh, what I did appreciate and enjoy was Lincoln and Hive talking in the jet as the timer ticked down, just taking it all in. I also like the surprisingly heavy special effects on the Quake/Hive fight. Lots of little touches that were really well done.
I never felt Red Skull was disintegrated. The way the 5 realms open up above him means to me he was zapped away somewhere......I would LOVE to see him return.
Considering Deathlok lost all his implants as soon as he reappeared in season 2 and hasn't been seen or mentioned since, they really need to bring him back. And HYDRA has run it's course with this show. The way that scene with their offscreen destruction, that was a clear indicator(to me) that were FINISHED. And they seem to be finished from a movie stand point as well. Is Red Skull still out there in space somewhere? Probably. But does that necessarily mean HYDRA, no. Who knows how Schmidt has changed(in terms of his evil views that is). Sure, there now are probably going to be a few stray agents wandering around, but from where I see it. HYDRA is done. And with Felix Blake still out there, odds are the Watchdogs are still going strong.
Not necessarily. Hydra are the ones that have the yellowjacket serum from ant man. Given the nature of the tesseract, skull could appear in a 2050 Marvel film and not age or experience a single day since ca:first avenger.
Is it just me or does Daisy's condition remind me of Jessica Jones's issues in terms of how she's effected by what Hive did to her? Because while I didn't see Jessica Jones so far what Daisy's been going through does reminds me of that. Also Spoiler I immediately got what the next plotline for the next season will be when I saw the LMD appear on the screen on the last scene of the episode. Excited to see what the LMD storyline goes.
I think season 2 finale was better. This felt like an average episode. I feel like hive will return, glad Lincoln died because I feel like they messed up his character this season. I don't think they really done a satisfying take on the secret warriors thing. Overall I feel like the first half of season 3 was better.
Wow, the Lincoln/Hive in space, that was great. Rest was meh. And emo Daisy? ugh. I can't stand emo. Like others said, that time jump was just....weird....
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeah... This season finale was a mixed bag. There were some great moments in it that were followed up by poorly conceived moments, especially the last 5 minutes of the show, which made absolutely not f'ing scense. Spoiler I think the worst part was just how quickly it jumped 6 months later without any closing remarks and whatnot for Lincoln's sacrifice. It just feels like they were all, "He just saved... Oops, we don't have enough time, gotta jump into the teaser for next season." It was very jarring and tact on. Not to mention the doctor pretty much making a female version of Ultron was lame. I liked seeing Hive's true form, but why did they wait so long to show it? And why did they have to go back to Grant's face? God this is so stupid. This season was mediocre at best and the worst of the three seasons. Everything felt so by the book and generic that the show never took any risks. Hell, they even wiped the main villains out off screen. I know I was sick of Hydra, but that was even more insulting to spend 3 seasons on it as the writers of the show clearly don't have any respect their audience. And then we had the lame way to get rid of Bobbi and Hunter from the show. I was expecting them to show up here to actually do something, but nope, they are just forgotten, which is also lame. This season sucked and I don't know if I can find any reason to come back next season. I doubt they are going to bother with the Serpent Society and this show hardly feels like it has any connection to the MCU at all at this point. Hell, nothing came out of the whole Sokovia Accords argument Coulson had with Talbot last week as if it was only there say, "SEE!! THIS SHOW IS CONNECTING WITH CIVIL WAR!!! LOOK!!!" On the positive side, Lincoln and Hive just chillin in space was pretty awesome and a nice moment. I also love Fitz's comment before he shot Not-Magneto. Oh, and the discussion between Radcliff and Coulson was handy.
damn, that last sceane felt so ... weird !!! BTW I hated daisy's look in that sceane ... I think we can assume season 4 is going to follow the age of ultron style ...
well lets keep in mind, they were supposed to do Marvel Most Wanted, as this ep was finished when Marvel Most Wanted was still a thing. when they got written out in half of S3, they were not going to show up again for the rest of this season. Also Lets keep in mind that since the Marvel Studios and Entertainment spilt, the shows started to make less and less references to the other MCU medium, compare S1-2 of Agents and S1 Daredevil from the "Pre-Spilt Era" which had plently of MCU film references, then compare S2 of DD and S3 of SHIELD which are from the "Post-Spilt Era" where there are less and less references, not to forget they had less characters from the movies this time around, we only had Malick and President Ellis, while previous seasons we much major/key characters like Fury, Maria Hill and Sif
