I have to wonder what the hell was the point of still trying to shoot Hive with a rocket launcher after the Blues Brothers showed up - given Blue Man Group just left a bunch of dead bodies lying around it wasn't gonna make a difference anyhow since they'd figured out Hive can just possess dead bodies the moment they learned "Ward" was back. Also kind of a disappointment with the "radio" thingy - I mean, Hive straight up says "it's the only thing that can destroy me" and yet the only thing it does is bring tweedle dee and tweedle dum...who don't last that long at all. Though it was hilarious at how the whole team gets out of the building the EXACT SECOND before those aliens smash into it. Given how much they're hyping the Kree blood thing I fully expect Coulson to be involved since it's kinda why he stopped being dead in the first place.
Well that episode was the best episode in a while. It wasn't great, but better than most. Disappointed there was absolutely nothing to tie it into Civil War aside from one little off comment Ward made. LAME!!! It really seems like they only cared about that in the first season and now it barely has any tie in to the movieverse other than you know it exists there.
I was sure that artifact was the dimensional gate that sends things to the other world like the monolith, not the worlds worst landing beacon. If I'm not mistaken, not-Triplicate Girl is totally dead now, right? There were three, Lash got one some time ago, Blues Brother got 2 tonight. Sometimes it amuses me with all the technology they have, they still think about killing as their big option. Modify one of the drop boxes, get Hive/Ward into it (preferably with Creel/Absorbing Man), blast it to the Sun. Problem over. It also amused me that they didn't even discuss the idea of carpet bombing the Hydra City. Sure they'd lose Daisy, but they'd also get rid of Hydra, Hive, and infected Hive Inhumans with minimal risk.
Doubt it. If you recall, she can do infinite bodies, she is just limited to being in four places at once. She was killed once by Lash, one was by herself under Hive's control, once from Shield, one was killed by the Kree dude, but there were two in the bar earlier.
And here I thought having Kree show up again in this show would be a game changer...boy was I wrong. Then again, this is kinda SHEILD's MO so I shouldn't really be surprised...
She's not really dead though since they have killed her like 7 times so far. Only one of her duplicates died in this episode.
She was killed twice this episode, and that last one looked pretty definitive to me from the way it was handled. Kree guy utterly wrecks the first one and smashes her spine and neck. Then the second one cryes out, gets smashed and has a final line before having her face carved in with an axe. So yeah, I guess she's dead for real now.
Im 50/50 on it, they could easily keep her around but dont have to. I am also to the point where Hives power has grown beyond Shields abilities. It really should be time for the avengers. Although short of Thor, I dont think any of them have much shot either
Ronan was an especially elite kree I think at the very least he wins any and every fisticuffs but probably can't counter Hive's disintegration ability short of using the sledge hammer at range
So yeah... Civil War Spoiler has nothing to do with the Hydra bases being wiped out, so all of that occurred off screen.
Why don´t they just bomb the shit out of that deserted city? HIVE can´t possess the crew of a B-52 bomber.
They didn't want to kill daisy. Umm they showed her getting mind controlled (and her trying to fight it) and it was talked about many times that season. They also could have saved her THREE times but left her. Like the clone girl "she's a shield agent but not daisy so who cares." That's one thing that kind of annoys me about the show. Cousion just had a speech about not leaving shield agents behind and they take care of their own. "Agent 33 is knocked out but we can't risk rescuing her when she's 5 inches in front of us and we can easly save her. Just leave her." "But she is mind controlled? "Who cares leave her." "Daisy is now mind controlled!" "Save Her!" "clone girl is going to die by that kree. Who cares stay where you are! Oops she's dead. Who cares, go save daisy." They really need to work on this in the show.
Definitely has that Whedon influence on the show. Whedon is known for making leaps of logic and having plot holes that make no sense. More often than not, he's right on target and it opens up the world for new choices and chances, but when he does screw up, you notice it big time. Seems that bit of genetics went to his brother as well. Overall, the show's good and watchable, but there are moments and storylines that make you go "Huh?!"
