So now that my AOE fever has subsided, I actually have regrets about my purchases.

This was the first time I'd ever bought movie toys. I'm more of a G1/G2 guy. But I liked the movie's idea that these were the last Autobots on Earth that escaped being hunted down, so I bought Leader Prime, Voyager Hound, and the deluxes of Bumblebee, Bumblebee's old version, Drift, Crosshairs, and Lockdown. While I do like Prime, he and the other toys just feel like shellformers to me, and I find them difficult to transform and stay in their car modes without looking like I've done something wrong when transforming them. And I'm 41 years old. I can only imagine the frustration some 13 year old kid would be having. Or not...maybe this is normal for kids these days, but it's quite complicated for this guy.

Quick question regarding Deluxe Lockdown. Which helmet is it that folks are getting to fit on his head? Is it the Kreon Lockdown helmet?

If the based Galvatron on Optimus, and Stinger on Bumblebee, who says they didn't make someone based on Sideswipe?

That's exactly what I figured, I just need to get around to buying Quickstrike.

I also think Darkside Soundwave could work, couldn't they have tried and made Soundwave?

Yeah, I added the white stripes and painted over the stupid Decepticon logo. I need to go over the roof again and paint the grill area black.

    Galvatron needs some touch-ups, too.

Probably the Voyager. It's not the best, but at least the dinosaur isn't shaped like an eggplant.

I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I'm very interested in the Power Battler Vehicon: [IMG]

    Anyone else?

I haven't seen that before. Not quite nice enough to grab- but for what it is, that's not bad at all. I wondered what that sequence was originally like in the concept stage. So many hints that something more was intended at some point...

You know lately I have been reading posts about Deluxe Strafe (Swoop as I call him) catching flak about being the least liked of the AOE Dinobots, but honestly I must be the only one who thinks he is one of the best (besides say Scorn).

But my topic is about Swoop and sure he may have his problems, but one excellent thing about him is he has over a 13" wingspan in dinomode,I don't even think G1 Swoops was that big,so I say give him a chance, you may grow to like him more.

I love Swoop's robot Mode, but those legs are ridiculous in dino mode. I like him but I never transform him.

This post literally caused me to immediately go out and buy 1 step Stinger.

Have you custom painted his robot mode? If so, I'd love to see it.

Not really. I just kinda went over the head. A little sloppy, I must say.

I really feel this line suffered from crap promo pics and poor posing in the packaging. After buying the main movie Advanced Autobots and Black Knight Grimlock, my opinion has really changed on this movie's figures- glad I took the risk. I was pretty convinced the original trilogy would be it for me in terms of collecting after seeing pics and packaging, but once I got them out of their prisons, they really do shine.
B Knight Grimlock is amazing, love the dino mode and colouring versus the standard leader Grimlock. Sure, the sizing is off and whatnot, but it still makes a great figure. The only thing that would have been nice is a posable tail, but in it's current design would be impossible. Ultimately though, I love it.
V2 Bumblebee is my favourite. Love the car mode, but the robot mode is amazing. Nice tight joints, a good level of posability and a flip out arm cannon that even creates the 'claw' piece (granted it's a little short, but it is there, so for detail, this guy gets extra points.
All the others are great too, I just wish Lockdown would have been leader or at least Voyager. Sure, the car would then be too big to be compatible, but I'd rather have a bigger robot mode than an accurate car.
The only one I've yet to pick up is an Optimus. I really just don't like how badly the truck folds to his back. I know people complained about the ROTF Optimus being too complicated, but it didn't half look amazing. Hopefully the next film sorts out the back of the truck for leader Optimus, but for now I'm happy with all the others to tide me over.
