Paints Used: - Argent Silver Acrylic - Black Gloss Acrylic - Gold Metallic Acrylic - Orange Gloss Acrylic - Metallic Copper (mix of orange gloss, gold metallic and silver metallic) - Red Gloss Acrylic Ah, thus begins my journey into the new Age of Extinction line and everything it has to offer so far. After three movies it was only a matter of time before the Dinobots were given the Bayformers treatment and I decided to start with Scorn of all figures. Awhile back I originally planned on just completely painting over each figure in a predominately black and silver shade to better match the cg models but the bright color schemes have begun to grow on me and I decided to instead keep them in their default palettes. For this custom I wanted to show that the original color scheme could easily fit right into a live action setting and thanks to a ton of paint work involved I think I might have made that possible. Hey if Optimus, Bumblebee and Crosshairs can show off some color then why not the Dinobots? If anything it really makes the team stand out and gives each of them a distinctive look. As of right now I started work on Slug so it'll probably be a few days before I'm finished with him. Okay apparently I didn't spend much time with this figure since I just now noticed that there were extra joints on the legs that could be splayed outward.
Well I just wanted to show that having the Dinobots in these bright colors could work on the big screen. It worked for many of the Autobots.
Mate did you really have to post that on my page? Greedy, attention seeking potato. Nah, I'm just kidding but seriously that is one wicked custom of an already awesome Shockwave figure. That is a custom right, or did Takara put out something that was actually worth buying?
