No. We're not doing a million of these. Post whatever reviews of the film you found on the web and you'd like to share here. I figured the timing was apt with the film being screened tomorrow, and midnight (read: like 8:00 PM) screenings starting a week from then. Let the Michael Bay hate (justified or not)... BEGIN!
These are critics and this is a Transformers movie. Whether it sucks or not, there's gonna be a LOT of hate.
That was for non-spoiler reviews from people on the site. This is to repost or link to reviews from professional critics, and perhaps keeping tabs on the Rotten Tomatoes/Metacritic scores. Different threads for different things.
Yes sir Mr forum mod. By the way your mod status doesn't seem to be showing, you might want to fix that, or people might mistake you for just some guy trying to boss everyone else around
No need to be rude. He's just trying to establish a little order to what will no doubt be a bit of a storm. I don't want to see these forums crowded with a million review threads. Honestly, its smart to put this all under one roof.
I understand you are trying to do this so that all the reviews are neatly bundled in one place - but if everyone is posting reviews here then their will be little discussion as nobody will want to talk about the other reviews if they are posting their own. Not to mention the confusion that will stem from multiple reviews being posted in one place.I suppose its worth a try - but its going to get messy and complicated very quickly.
How is this bossy? If we don't have general threads for stuff like this, there's going to be a million of them, plus whatever threads about specific things the movie is going to throw at us, and it's gonna become a total mess to navigate. BUT, if we have general threads like this one, and the spoiler review thread, and the non-spoiler review thread, it's gonna be MUCH easier. And there's precedent for non-mod created megathreads. Remember Dark Cybertron? That was just some user, because he recognized that there was gonna be enough carry over on an issue to issue basis that general thoughts should probably be contained in one thread. Same thing here. This is a sincere attempt at being helpful- if you feel confined by it please feel free to make a new thread for every review you find. Just quote the post introducing the review(s) you're referencing, or link to them yourself. It doesn't have to be complicated if we don't make it that way.
