This movie (even with its flaws) will top DOTM for sure.

With the World Cup crap wrapping up I'm half expecting it to reach a billion in the next week or so...it's finally opening in the European and Spanish markets and it's already over halfway there even WITHOUT them.

    INCREDIBLE.

The first Wednesday of AoE in the UK is soon to come as well.

Yeh DOTM had done better in America by this point, but i think overall AoE will top DOTM with in the next few weeks. Unlike DOTM, AoE was more advertised all across the world and not mainly in the US. There are people who probably haven't even realised it's out, and some could be waiting till the holidays start to take their kids etc. It will pick up in the states without a doubt.

TF5 is pretty much confirmed :lol

I don't really think negative reviews have much to factor in. Bay films are pretty much bullet-proof (ROTF was largely panned and yet people went to see it).

My guess is there just isn't enough repeat-value for some. Though I also see it hitting the plateau of around $250-275 million before the summer ends, with little chance of hitting the domestic benchmarks of its previous 3.

Maybe some just didn't care for the more serious, bleak tones.

Box office wise, the overseas market dominates. They love paying for 3D too. The film makers knew this and set half of the AOE in US, half in China. Easier for movie goers to relate to the product, which is why I doubt if the movie verse will ever shift to the outer space.
