I am LOVING the truck mode! Very sharp! I'm no opposed to Hasbro going to a more simple transformation for their target audiance (kids). I personally won't be collecting them but it doesn't mean it isn't what is best for the line in general.

I thought they were supposed to redesign robot modes, but prime looks basically the same as he did in the first three films at least the toy version does.

I know I'm late to the party, but that's Leader Class? With the entire frame of the truck hanging off the back? My wallet says "thank you," Hasbro.

Truck mode is pure win. It looks soooo nice. Robot mode, not sold on it yet. Will need to see in person.

except for truck mode....this is terribad....even for a bayformer (also does it shellform....looks like it). looks like no bay boy is ever gonna live up to the ROTF leader prime mold (or its maybe redecos, retools etc).

I'm really hoping that we will see a Grimlock or another Dinobot toy during NYCC. At least maybe a Leader Class Grimlock in this wave.

Aren't the Leader class suppose to be near perfect transformation for proper bot aesthetics? The only thing I can see that looks good about this is the artist that did the paint job. Ofcourse we won't be getting that paint job when this comes out so and even that won't save this Prime from going to the dollar store...sorry to say.

Hopefully Hound and/or Ratchet gets a better quality figure.

Wow. So this is was our "leader class" figures have come to.
Easy pass unless it's massively discounted :lol

And yes I get that the upcoming toys for the "kid" lines is supposed to be more simplistic, but that doesn't necessarily translate into a hideous shell-former and looking this ugly.
You can make highly detailed and well designed simple transformers.

Every time I've read the term "shellformer" in this thread, I've heard it as "shelf warmer" in my head.

    Just an observation. Carry on.

    Ah yes. That "lovely" thing.
I think it would have been a better figure if the "murder-arm" actually had some basic articulation and the ability to transform the claw into the cannon.

And let's not forget the oh so fateful gimp-arm.

    Totally screen accurate!
