One nitpick that keeps standing out to me....and I'm totally fixated on disliking this part:

When all hell breaks loose on Cade's farm, and everyone takes off into that car chase scene....there is WAAAAAAAY too much time focusing on the humans chasing each other, and not nearly enough on Lockdown pursing Optimus.

In fact, the two chases kinda magically converge on one another when you see "an already transformed" Lockdown and OP climbing the roof.

This was a wasted moment to see the Aventador going top speed and looking sexy as hell.

The seond time I saw it, that entire scene seemed waaaaay too long, and all I kept wanting to see was more alt modes chasing each other.

(ala, Bee and Barricade in the first movie)

 

That was the best chase scene in the whole movie. Whole Hong Kong chase stuff was way too long and should've been 20 minutes shorter.

 

Yeah, I had that issue too.

 

I'm not really commenting on if it was good or not....

I'm just pointing out that you saw Lockdown and OP speeding down the cornfield strip ONCE. In the entire chase.

The other 10 minutes was drift racing with the RedBull guy.

Just a wasted opportunity to see Lockdown rip it up....afterall, he's a high end Lamborghini, I want to see him go fast. lol

 

I much preferred seeing him and Prime duking it out on the rooftops than a car driving after a truck.

 

Ive literally just got in after watching it....

And man o man what a film!! Sure there were a few clumsy editing mistakes especially case and savoy on their downward descent and the wolves on the anchors scene not to mention the sonic collision.....but i am absolutely going to be honest here.......bay and kreuger and the rest of the team absolutely pulled it out the bag for me there tonight awesome movie easily the best of the franchise and lockdown was truly something special but in my opinion in the essence of telling a story.......most of the way things happened i wouldn't have changed except for a bit more Dinobots when they get introduced....but that's it i totally loved it!!!!

 

the magnet/Hong Kong chase scene was WAY too long and if that thing was lifting up boats and other cars why wasn't it lifting up their car?

 

Yeah, I wish we saw more of the Optimus and Lockdown

 

I see you're point but you have to remember there's been three movies already with car chases.

 

That wouldn't have lasted very long, I mean a truck running from a lambo? Lockdown should have caught up to prime in literally seconds. >_< But whatever, still a good movie.

Yeah but Optimus isn't really governed by the laws of actual freight truck speeds.

He missed that part when he was complaining.
