I think you might well be able to do most if not all of that at the commander price point if you were will to accept a rather simplistic transformation with a few more hollow parts than people tend to like.

Or even sell in the inner robot mode separately and market that they interact like soundwave and the tapes, cross selling is not something TFs has ever been shy about.

I think that would be too hollow, even for me....and I'm not bothered by most hollow stuff. I'm definitely thinking he's closer to Dev's size than Jetfire's, but if he was closer to Jetfires, then it should be most acceptable...I think... I never handle jetfire...
the line gimmick could be transforming smallbots that can plug into voyager-and-above molds? interesting idea....

Command Jetfire is about the size of a CW combiner with the up graded feet. Definitely a very imposing figure.

The small robots fitting inside larger sold separately bots would be probably be the most effective way to do pretenders, even if most of the now end up as transforming shell "mega pretenders".

Stratosphere, maybe? Yeah, it’ll never happen. But I just rediscovered the figure and he’s all kinds of awesome.

I'm aware of how big he is, but I was thinking of more of plastic content when I was talking about that before. How much would you hollow out to make it closer to Dev's size without including the gimmicks and alternate forms, for example.

but yeah, I'd be cool with mega pretenders as a line-wide gimmick.

I want a better Metroplex or Fort Max. The ones we got kinda suck.

Metroplex I can see them improving just by the on-the-surface aesthetics.

Then again, I can't imagine them making a Fort Max that is any better if they didn't have the budget to make one that had all the bells-and-whistles the first time around ... like more articulated hands and feet or a better base mode. However, I feel Fort Max does look great and the Headmaster gimmick works perfectly.

I'm not sure if I should get me hopes up or not for a Metroplex...hopefully someone can pry more information from Warden next time they have the chance.

I wonder, if anything, they would do a reissue of Metroplex at some point?

Aye, as I mentioned subsequently someone in the Studio Series thread suggested him when I asked if there were any Movieverse Titan sized bots.

He really does. hell i would argue that even the old armada would be a better a better "playset" figure than most of the actual titans who turn into cities even if all you had to do was upscale it with no changes. hes a big ass battle ship or a whole fleet of individual battleships

Assuming the transformation of a new "titan" Tidalwave woulden't be drastically different compared to the orignial, you could even accomplish a pretty convincing city mode with the need for absolutely no extra engineering to achieve it.

I did this with the armada figure.

With the continued focus on Micromasters, a Titan Grandus is starting to sound more plausible.

Hah, for me too. Commander Class is the very much upper limit for me but I like speculating :D
I'm just thinking if they're running low on G1 non redeco Titans they might start drawing on other fiction and as I gave up on the Bayformers universe after the second film - I don't consider the Bee Movie to be part of the same group - I was just curious if they had anything that would fit in the size class :)

Except, he wouldn't have to be all that big, would he?

yeah Grandus could easily be commander class. But then that leaves the question if who else Hasbro could use for the Titan Class? If we are talking about G1 era giant bots, hes kinda the only one left if you exclude repaints and combiners.

Grandus is basically the last one left that fits the bill.

I don't know how big he's supposed to be. I'm imagining him as the core of a Micromaster playset city, that all of the bases and ramps can attach to at the same time. If Commander class is sufficient size to accomplish that, then sure, he could be a Commander.

I think they should do the Ark. Animated had a great idea but instead of it turning into Omega supreme it would be a new character.

    Dinobot set. Preferably non-combining.
