I'm on the fence with this. The big thing to consider is that M Knight Shyamalan is not writing the movie. This is one reason to be hopeful because he has a good directing style even though his movies suck. The writing and acting is usually the big problem. The exception to this is obviously The Last Airbender because he was not prepared to take on something like that at all and it was all around terrible. The trailer was ok, but it didn't wow me. I'll check out the reviews for this one first.

Yup, same here. Not sure how many more of this guy's post-Signs movies need to bomb before they finally stop letting him behind a camera, but I hope it's soon. That, and Will Smith + son. Just not into it.
I've just learned that Will Smith's character is called 'Cypher Raige'. Did a 13-year-old write the script? I'd be embarrassed if I ever gave a character I created a name like that.
Yeah, I usually give a movie the courtesy of a viewing before I lay into it, but I've come to expect certain things from M Night Shamalangadingdong. The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable were flukes.

Watched the trailer and nothing. Don't have any need to go see this yet. To much jaden smith not enough will. Jaden will never become his father. He will always be in his shadow.
