So yesterday, after some time playing FOC and GTA4, both games which bored me to death, I got to fire up WFC again. Couldn't believe that after all these years, this is still the superior game. I was actually pretty pissed at FOC because while I played WFC again, i was a bit rusty and had the combination controls from playing FOC kick in by instinct. But i slowly regained that ability back and before you know it, i was starting to dazzle again in the battlefield lol. This is really a game that i enjoy so much. Couldn't say the same for FOC.
I bought gta4 for the pc a couple weeks back and ya it gets pretty dam boring, I can't really put my finger on it maybe it's the claustrophobic city or the story. I'd much rather play san andreas. Anywho, after seeing your post I checked steam for wfc, it's only 4.99 so I went ahead and grabbed it, so cheap!
I was just thinking that, it's only been a bit over 2 years. I haven't played it or seen it much though, maybe updates in graphics and stuff make it feel old?
I agree, it is still really fun (though multiplayer has a few glaring flaws) but it's only from a couple of years ago. If it's as good as people say and it is, in fact, if it's good at all, it should still be enjoyable.
WfC felt almost generic to me. The only thing that stop that was the fact that you could become a vehicle. Now, I'm a fan of WfC but c'mon the game felt very generic, the weaponry, the combat, the overall gameplay... FoC wasn't any better at correcting this glaw. It's why as much as I like that game too it's not my go-to game.
When it comes to transformers games being generic is pretty damn good. (compared to being unbearably awful)
I vastly prefer FOC. I recently attempted to replay WFC and enjoy what it does have over FOC, but I couldn't because every time I spawned some leader with a POKE would dash in out of nowhere and take out me and 2 other people with one melee.
I adore the Multiplayer FoC has to offer, but to me, Escalation WfC style will always trump FoC's escalation. You can't win. You can simply survive as long as you can, just like in a real siege or when you're trapped in enemy lines. I like that. Scabbers35 is my PSN ID, by the way.
