Holy crap! I was going to make some snide comment about being disappointed it wasn't the Great Giana Sisters.
i just looked up some info into. commeredore 64 huh? and it looks like it shuold be on ds right now. i try looking online stores but. i can't find it.
Giana Sisters was a great game. It was much harder than SMB. It also had a fantastic theme song. YouTube - The Great Giana Sisters / C64 Intro
I didn't say it was a bad game. I'm just saying it plays just like SMB only with teen girls instead of hairy Brooklyn plumbers.
An awesome cover of the theme by a band called Machinae Supremacy. YouTube - Machinae Supremacy - The Great Gianna Sisters
Chris Huelsbeck was the king of 80s home computer game music, see also the first two Turrican games. Somebody needs to start giving the dude work again.
I just had to post this. It's simply amazing. Makes me imagine a Super Mario Galaxy sized epic on the Wii. YouTube - Chris Huelsbeck: Symphonic Shades - The Great Giana Sisters (HQ)
Going by the fact that their overalls are quite form-fitting, I'm gonna assume Mario & Co. don't have anything down there to begin with. I think a more appropriate comparison would be "SMB if they had boobs instead of beer bellies". EDIT: Okay, after seeing the Youtube vid, looks like the Giana sisters are pretty young. So... I got nothin'.
I remember that group from the In The Groove games. For that matter, somebody needs to get the first two Turrican games onto the Virtual Console's C64 library. Those and the Xenon games are pretty much the only C64 games I want on my Wii, AND THEY AREN'T THERE. Grrrr...
