Also, the cockpit glass is clear, not tinted.

Hmmmm, what was that phrase again? :D
Anyway, while my Jetfire certainly ain't that perfect, I'm very happy with mine and I'm glad I got one in such fine condition.

    .....:lol

I didn't even look at who the seller was! I was to busy admiring the item!

Yup, this is the owner of CSG, and a known scammer! He's using a friends ebay account.

    Buyers Beware!

    Ebay:
I'm just curious - the two subtle differences are the cockpit stripe and the Macross arrowhead?

    That's pretty neat, btw.

    Ebay:
TFW member Optimus Scourge has one of those Macross Jetfires, but it neither sealed nor AFA'd. It was still impressive to see in person I assure you.

I owned one of these in the late 90s mib. Got it off ebay i believe for about 170 then sold it for 500 on yahoo auctions a few months after acquiring it. I wish I didn't have to sell him back then!

Are the Macross Jetfires really that rare?

I've got one sitting in my display cabinet still bone white with all accessories. While I knew it was not the typical Jetfire, I didn't think it was all that rare.

Maybe I'm wrong but should I handle this thing with white gloves and is it worth a bundle?

    Thanks for any info.

Yeah, there's 2 or 3 on ebay right now so how rare could they be? One auction says there were only about 300 of them produced and released.

Another twist is that there are two versions of the Macross Jetfire, one has the symbol painted on the wing and the other has a sticker of the symbol applied to the wing.

Mine is the painted symbol as opposed to the sticker and I believe the painted version is more desireable.

I've got another Jetfire and I think I should pack the Macross away and display the basic jetfire just in case :)
