Well now that it has articulated joints its 100% percent better!
Thanks I'm aiming to have his arms bend at the elbows and wrists. We shall see how that goes.
New pics are on bottom of page 4
Managed to get the torso attached to the waist, Also got the nose of the jet attached as well. I did have the tail on there to but i didnt like the way it came out so i took it off to figure something else out. He stands pretty tall compared to dirge. On a great note my wife bought me an airbrush and compressor for an early christmas present. so now i have something else to play with. thanks for stopping buy.
got to work on this a little today. got the arms and the tail attached. not really happy with the way it is coming out, but it is what it is. still got to figure out the hands and what to do for a head. really looking forward to putting some paint on this thing. thanks for taking a look
Wouldn't the "SR-71 Blackbird" be better for "Silverbolt" instead of the "C-130J Hercules" .. ???
that looks like someone elses post for a list...not the OP.
either way...im looking forward to seeing more of this.
Actually I am going to use the C-130j for silverbolt. Going to bring him back to his cargo transport days.
I dont think the Blackbird would be good for Silverbolt. The Herc is bound to be the central torso for one thing and its more likely to be closer to Silverbolt's colours. Closer than Jet black anyway.
I'd rather have had a B1B though.
Maybe even the XB-70 Valkyrie...
Please hurry up Jezones. I want to see this extra massive ass Superion before I die.
I have an XB-70 still in its box for when I start my version for this... and its massive! In the same scale as the other aircraft, its about four times the length.
Wow. Keep it up dude, this is coming along great!
Everybody petition Jezones to ditch the Herc for the Valkyrie.
The Aerialbots have no need for a fat slow old bird.
Plus the XB-70 practically looks Cybertronian already!
Imagine that thing transforming? He'd kick Menasor's ass on his own.
The problem with using the Concorde,xb-70, or even the b-1 is there size. When built to scale they are just to big to use as combiners. They would not need to be combined with any other jets. The xb-70 is 185 feet long and the Concorde is 202 feet long. Were as the f-15 is 63 feet long. The f-15 might could be a foot for the Concorde. http://http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1460/10827023/22008165/364420644.jpg
I think in the end the final product will make most people happy. Besides I grew up with c-130's flying over my house everyday. It's the backbone ofthe airforce
Dude, in terms of bulk there isnt much between an XB-70 and a Herc.
And you're using so many jets that it wont make much of a difference. I presume there will be two jets to a limb or something?
Anyway, it's your baby. You want to use a Herc, go for it.
But the rest of the team would be in battle getting bored/hammered waiting for Silverbolt to show up.
whatever you decide to go with. I'm sure this is gonna knock us back. I do personally prefer the XB-70 and that's what I have set aside for mine, whenever that happens, but that's just me. last I checked, this was your project.
updates look great!
havent had much time to work on Airraid as i would like. Work has been crazy these last few weeks with my Review and the president of the company stopping by. But now hopefully i can coast the rest of the year. Anyway.... I did find some hands to put on him, got to do a little work to make them a little more squared off and robot like. I just put that head on there for the picture, still trying to figure that one out. The hands do fold back and fit inside the body of the jet. I still have to put on the bomb mounts on the sides of the body of the jet, figure out what im going to do about the rear landing gear a few odds and ends and then i think it will be time for paint. Think im going to try to try to bring some of the G1 colors into the body parts while keeping the body of the Jet the real world colors(Gunship Gray, euro 1 gray nose cone, metal around the engines).
On another note i did the P-51D and BF109 for my brother in law. My first try at painting models with the airbrush my wife gave me for christmas. I think they came out pretty good. Again thanks for stopping by.
Excellent progress, can't wait to see more over the holidays!
damn nice...i will watching this although it still too early...good to hear you will stick to G1 transformations
