The Digital Bits has news on the Advent Children's release date, price, as well as special features. But I have to wonder why they aren't including Last Order. Maybe I'm jaded, but I expect it'll be delayed again. Also, 1-UP.com has the complete cast for the film. I'm kinda bugged by the casting of Steve "Spike Spiegel" Blum as Vincent. But I'm glad they kept Steve Burton for Cloud. He was good in Kingdom Hearts.
Nice to see that the voice cast coincides with KH2. I can't quite picture Crispin Freeman as Rude, though.
Crispin Freeman should have been Sephiroth. Then he could have called Cloud a "Goddamn Punk" and it would have been awesome. For everyone that doesn't know, Crispin was Alucard's voice in the English dub of Hellsing.
Or Amon, in Witch Hunter Robin. Or more recently, Togusa in Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, and Second Gig. Yeah, I'd more readily picture him as Sephiroth, or even Vincent, rather than Rude.
Last I heard it was delayed and being released in Europe before it was released in North America. That's been happening a lot in the video game world lately..
It's all a cruel joke by Square. They're just taunting us. If it ever does come out I hope to god we get LO I think it'd be awesome to see Zack in action.
I find it...interesting...that Crispin Freeman is in the cast and ISN'T playing Sephiroth, and that George Newbern (the voice of the most famous fictional American hero of the last SEVENTY YEARS...SUPERMAN!) is playing probably the most famous fictional villain in Japan from the last few decades. Also, Sideburn is Rufus. YAY! On a more serious note, Crispin is always great in whatever role he does, with the exception of his diabolical laughter, which I find to be quite lacking. When he does his diabolical laughter, it just sounds like the poor man's Mark Hamill. Newbern and Wingert, I've only heard in ONE role, and they were rather talented in the ONE role I've heard them do, so it'd be unfair to criticize the casting. Yet.
Maybe the cast list got discombobulated? It just doesn't make sense to cast the voice of Amon as comic relief instead of Sephiroth.
There is a full page ad for this DVD in the Moon Night Comic book this week. It lists the release date as 4/25 and says it has the english dub, as well as the Japanese language version with english subtitles. Also some deleted scenes. It's almost here.
15 days ....CANT WAIT probably one of the few movies I'M BUYING at launch-being that I usually wait till they are 15ish
Damn I already bought the Mother Effer LAST APRIL! Its about time I freaking return on my money.... Maybe it was June but who cares......
And that is bad because...? Try to remember here that Europe still gets the shaft with other games/movies when it comes to release dates (the only ones that showed something for it being the Metroid Primes and Kingdom Hearts). Who the hell is the guy doing Sephiroth's voice anyways?
