    What a bunch of crap.

This and Uncharted 2 are the only games I really, truly, NEED to have this Fall.

Dear god... *Facepalm* Activision is now pissed that it's not getting the publishing money from this, because they thought nobody would want Brutal Legend... or that's what it seems to me.

Wasn't there another game that Activision dropped that's being released soon...? Oh yeah... Ghostbusters!!

    ... Let's hope not.

you misunderstood the question. For the developer to jump to EA for publishing, Activision would have not wanted to publish the game despite putting money into it. Why didn't activation want to publish it?

If I remember right, it was a money thing and a bunch of studios were closing down and a lot of games were going to be shelved, or were uncertain of who would put the game out. Brutal Legend was one along with Ghostbusters. If they invested all that money, they should have held onto the title in the first place. I'm sure if anything, they've seen the interest that is there for the game after being shown and they want some of that cash that it's sure to bring in.

Well, excuse me, TT... but uh... we're ALL going to be purchasing an Activision product in 2 and a half weeks time!

Are you honestly going to boycott RoTF because of this?

But Activision has no standing in this. They let the developer go, the developer went to a willing publisher, and now they're having a hissy fit because Brutal Legend is getting lots of attention! Geez!

I just hope this gets settled quickly... like NOW.

    No. We're ALL not.

I finally got a 360 a month and a half ago and gave the first movie game a go. If the sequel is anything like the first (which it sure as hell looks like so far), Activision isn't getting another red cent from me. Especially after this news.

Yes, I haven't purchased an Activision product in over a year and nor do I plan to.

Especially RotF. Why would that be an exception?

Oh okay... I understand now. Activision just wants the development money it put into the project. It could care less as to who publishes Brutal Legend.

I still say it's a crying shame to try and halt the release of BL... makes them look bad.

Oh boo hoo, everyone cries "Poor me, now i'm getting the game later" or "Poor Tim Shaffer, another of his games are getting shitted on" but no one speaks on the half of Activision. Hell, despite how FAR they've fallen, Activision was a company MADE by game developers that WANTED to be considered artists when Atari was treating everyone as Code Monkeys. To be honest, I think they have a RIGHT to FIGHT against Brutal Legend especially if they sunk development cash into it. I DO want Brutal Legend to come out, but not to be held down by any legal issues. So, let it get delayed it'll be a damn fine game when it's finished.
