I’m not really a fan of actionmasters, but this is quite nice! Can it partially fold up into some sort of nondescript shape?

This is nice and looks much better. Heck they still can't even do Arcee right without a ton of back kibble so I guess it's no surprise they can't manage the other girls yet.
Oh man, I've been wanting to do this myself but haven't found Moonracer yet, and have been waiting for someone in Radicons to do this for ages now, so I'm so glad someone finally did it! She definitely looks way better now. A shame about the clear plastic on the feet though. Must be a royal pain in the ass to cut... Such a shame the new G1 fembot mould turned out the way it did though. I beg to differ. Generations Arcee may not be perfect but for a modern Deluxe Class toy, she was done really well. I mean, you didn't really expect her to hide all that kibble with some Masterpiece-tier engineering, did you...? Being the first proper G1 Arcee we've ever got from Hasbro, it's darn impressive. Moonracer and Firestar, on the other hand, look like someone just gave up. The friggin' hands and arms just stick out the back. At least Arcee actually tries to look like Arcee in both modes, even if she basically ends up with a car on her back in robot mode.
A good custom and a good showcase of how bad the Moonracer mold is. Any "Transformer" that can have its altmode cut off in its entirety is objectively a bad Transformer. Sidenote: the good version of this mold could've also been Sunjack and Wheelstreaker, if you needed another reason to hate the version of Moonracer that we got.
I'm not sure what's confusing you here: the name-mixes or the "good MR could've been them"? To explain the latter, though: the hood and front-wheels are her legs, the windows and interior are her torso. Sunstreaker, Wheeljack, and even Tracks are the same way.
No, I just noticed that both names are each just two real words that could be easily swapped that way. Moonstar and Novaracer work the same way.
Cool. This is the problem I have with most of these new figures. It doesn' leave a lot of room for customizing or modifying them with the little amount of details or the lack of plastic to cut and modify. You almost have to go action master on all of them just to make them work or just leave them as is and just do a straight repaint. Hasbro kind of took the fun out of trying to customize them by being so cheap on transformation and the lack of details. At least for me it did. Plus,I haven't had much luck at any of my local retailers keeping any decent figures in stock.
