I collect CHUG more then G1 but I’m thinking about getting some of the ‘86 movie toys. Anyways what are some acceptable prices for G1 toys in good condition?

Depends on the figure and the condition. If you're concerned about prices being too high, collect the reissues.

$50-$60 on Galvi, maybe a bit more depending on the stickers, chrome, and working electronics. It is a figure I need to upgrade eventually, I haven't tested the electronics on either of mine, and one has a cracked barrel and some fading (I think the guy smoked), and the other has pretty significant chrome wear. It really is a terrible looking figure that I can't even say has any charm for me.

I’m also thinking about maybe getting a beat up one and restoring it with reprolabels and Molotol chrome, problem is finding a loose orange cannon.

The cannon and the purple cannon attachment are both overpriced. It's usually cheaper to get a complete second hand one with both.

Make sure any version you buy has the purple half circle part on it's back too.

The good news is that most figures from 1984 - 1986 are reasonably priced due to the sheer amount of reissues throughout the years, both here and internationally.

The bad news is when you start moving into 1987-1990 territory. Brace yourself for laying down some serious cash since the majority of those have not seen reissues.
