Sentinel's real name is Brad. Yes. Win.

So maybe Transformers take on imperious, exotic, sci-fi names to butch up in front of each other and cartoon people. Or maybe 'Sentinel' translates as 'Brad'.
Or maybe something else, I don't care and please don't try to insert reason here.

What are the other real names of TFA characters?

I vote Optimus is a steady name like James, Edward or Malcolm and Lugnut is really called Trevor.
Bulkhead may well be called Roland. Or Barry.
Megatron looks like a Clive to me. I want to say Blitzwing is called Gunther but that may be me making a national association.
Starscream was originally called Leaf, but he changed it to Jaquin.
Prowl has a name like Finbar or Auberon, but doesn't tell anybody.
Anybody feeling Earnest for Grimlock?

Bulkhead isn't really clumsy at all. He's just incognito. He's actually a Prince named Edgar Puttersworth who's highly skilled at dancing and swordplay. He's wearing a false underbite to disguise himself until he can figure out how to unseat his evil older brother, Vincent Puttersworth, who killed their loving father, Dooby Puttersworth, to take the throne of the kingdom of Lutz back on Cybertron.

Cybertron's real name is Bert.

Snarl and Swoop = Bob and Carl.

 

I think Snarl and Swoop would be Daryll and Daryll like on the old Newhart show. Grimlock would then be "Larry".

I think Elita-1 would be a "Kelly" and Arcee would be "Heather".

Sentinel's a 'Butch' to me, Arcee would be 'Penelope'. And Shouldn't Prowl have a Japanese name, like 'Heero'? (LOL!)
