Couple of days late on this one, but just seen that DC have officially confirmed Absolute Dark Knight and Kingdom Come.

Anyone else buying? I'm all over Kingdom Come but I don't think I can justify DK since I already have the Chip Kidd edition and its not something that would really benefit from large-o-vision. Not to mention that you have to buy DK2 with DKR whether you like it or not.

Now that those are out of the way, wheres my damn New Gods hardcover?

Oversized slipcased hardcovers, usually with a fair bit of background material thrown in.

I'm gonna try and get absoulte dark knight regardless of the addition of dksa My softcover one is not in its best shape. If I can afford it I'll try and snag Kingdom come as well never read it and all the extras would probably be worth it

Thats cool. I'd get them if I didnt already own both books.

Now if they took all the "Batman:______ of the Demon" books and put them into an absolute edition, I'd get that.

It's in the latest Wizard in an article about the Kubert brothers moving over to DC and working on Superman and Batman. Off the top of my head, I believe the arc starts in the May or June issue of Batman. Didn't say much other that in terms of plot details.

*edit* Yeah, your edit sounds about right.

Any chance that the new KC edition will have the material from the Revelations hardcover?

Theres 2 books in the set, Amazon might only be counting the one with the story itself.

No idea, but DC usually takes material from previous hardcovers for these sets.

Yeah, the new demon story is in the new morrison run. I will be all over these absolute books! Even though I am very iffy on dksa because I read the first two issues and hated the where they were going.

DAMN! I'm on that Absolute Kingdom Come like nobody's business! I just cracked and bought the Hush one and the oversized art just makes that book so much better (I was only really a moderate fan of it to begin with but wanted to check out an Absolute edition). Wow, I can't wait for that.

Definitely after Absolute Kingdom Come. Got Absolute Crisis on Infinite Earths for Christmas, and the presentation alone is marvelous. Also needing Absolute Watchmen.

I just ordered Absolute Crisis and the Absolute edition of World's Greatest Super-Heroes from Amazon. I can't wait to get them. I was a big Marvel oversized HC fan before I got my hands on some Absolute editions, they're just so nice they blow Marvel's out of the water.

Oh yeah the absolute stuff blows the marvel hc's out of the water by far. Though I think the marvel ombinus books might be trying to close that gap. Heck they are even supposed to have the orginal letters pages in the issues!!
