Even though I am a science student, I've got a good deal of artist in me as well. When I originally made my youtube accout i wanted to post animations. I got 2 good comics I wrote when I was 15, and I'm pretty sure I could write another one. But.. my windows movie maker, just won't show visual. The sound works fine, but as soon as I move any sort of image to the slideshow... it just won't show up on the big screen. [update] I tried downloading an animation software from downloads.com last week. I uploaded it onto a USB drive, just in case. Turns out that was a great decision, cuz the file went corrupt in the middle of download, and my usb drive became useless. I am getting another USB drive today and I want to start searching again. p.s. I am not yet interested in 3-d animation. The other thing is. Even if I just replace Movie Maker, its videos aren't in youtube format. How would I convert them ?
It sounds like your enemy is the video format. There are lots of different algorithm that are not always compatible with different players. Sometimes the file extension is not always an indicator of what will application will play a file. For instance, there are Windows and DIVX versions of MPEG. At any rate, if Windows Movie Maker will not play a file it sounds like you are missing a codec. Try playing the file in Media Player and see if it will download the codec automatically. If not, try another player and see what your luck is. In regards to converting the file for YouTube, try Super C. Additionally, I have never heard of any file corrupt or otherwise that incapacitates a USB drive. There is something else going on there.
Its just the movie maker monitor that has the problem What happened was, because the file stopped in the middle of the download process, it created a file that I could neither open nor delete from the USB drive. So, when I tried to just reformat the USB drive.. it didn't work, and I was left with a useless USB. I think you misunderstand what I said earlier, neither a picture, video, or ANY file with visual shows on movie maker. If I try to play a music video in windows movie maker only the sound plays. This happened to my movie maker last June when I was trying to make a 30 second cartoon. After I reached the 60th frame, the Windows Movie Maker monitor just stopped operating. Things play fine on Windows media player.. but of course, windows media player is not a video editing program.
