Hehe, sorry about that... I just got excited.

Animated is one of my favorite lines. So much brilliance squeezed into one line.

And thanks for the compliments on the picture. I have been meaning to take pics again. Those are pretty old.

Maz, as a fan of the Animated line, I couldn't thank you enough for this article! Very nice read and I can't wait for part 2! :)

I recall having doubts about the line as well, but when I got my hands on Prowl, I got hooked. It's the most complete line in my collection, only missing Blackout. :)

Animated is what got me back into collecting. It is second only to the original Transformers line, in my opinion, and that's mostly for nostalgic reasons

Honestly if it wasn't for photography, meet-ups and writing to look forward to, the hobby doesn't hold enough interest for me as a plastic-amassing/displaying exercise. Keep up the photography.

That damn Blackout, although I am more bummed about the other solicited stuff like Toxic Oil Slick, Vortex Blurr etc that didn't get released.

    Thanks for the kind words!

Also, turns out Blurr's legs were on backwards hence the waist not being transformed correctly in the pictures. At some point in his past they were obviously popped back on incorrectly.

    All the best

I enjoyed Animated so much while it was happening it made me question nearly everything about my collecting habbits. I mean I just loved it nearly to being a kid during G1. I was truely having fun and was excited for each new figure.

It took a few years after the fact, but it eventually lead to me selling off a huge chunk of my collection. Keeping only what I truely enjoyed and have a connection to.

Watching the cartoon again only reminds me how much I miss Animated.... and wish somehow that Hasbro could get back to a series of that quality.
