No, you just get people trying to bring what they consider a "niche subject matter" to a wider audience. You don't see them doing zany things with Batman, Superman, and Spiderman because just about every person in America knows who they are. But Dragonball, Electra, Mortal Kombat, He-man, Highlander? These guys are niche. I'm not saying it's the right thing to do (look how well Ironman turned out by playing it straight, and he's pretty much a B-level guy), but that's what execs do. They think toys, merchandise, and as much money as possible.. In most cases, if they think they can make money by cheaping out on the movie budget, they will cheap out.
That sounds lame, what need does a robot have to hump into something? Maybe it isn't humping per se, maybe he just rubs mikaela's leg.
Oh come on people its not that bad! plus they probably know everyone hates Wheelie already so they decided to make him annoy everyone more. Relax! everything going to be ok!
I'm trying to remember Wheelie from the 'toon. Was he the guy who talked super fast in the original animated movie?
Actually, that sounds waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more plausible. And makes perfect sense considering he's hiding from the decepticons. And wheelies the annoying orange thing who rhymed all the time.
no,that was blurr and will always be blurr..lol but he was the lil robot kid who was on the same planet kup and hot rod landed on in the movie the planet with the water and pirahnah like fish. Anyways yeah he poped grimlock in the nose with a sling shot in the movie too if that jars your memory?
well I would not be suprised if Wheelie was nothing but cheep humor for the movie. If the BB peeing thing was Bay's idea then it would only seem it was him again who came up with this POS idea. There is no way a robot would simulate humping a leg like a dog there are so many levels that doesnt make sense. but then again it is a Bay movie so all sense goes out the window. Mr. Orci if this is indeed an idea birthed from you or the other writers minds, shame on you guys as we will have officially hit the lowest common denominator.
Hardly. This sounds like it's intended to pop the little kids when they watch it. And I'm sure they'll crack up, just like they did with the peeing incident in the first one. Regardless of how we feel about the movie, there are people other than us watching, namely kids. So, it goes without saying, there will be jokes for kids in the movie. I don't see why everyone is getting all pissy. This isn't Optimus humping a leg, it's a 1ft tall robot.
And 2. Bayformers suck in general. HAha! I don't want to jump to any conclusions about Wheelie being Foxes pet or anything. But I could totally see them doing something that stupid, just to make the movie look even worse. But it really is thoughts like this which make me dread the next Micheal Bay crap fest which some people mistake for a movie.
If this is for real, I have only one request: That the experience doesn't cause Wheelie to compose verse.
"What in God's name were they thinking?!" That's all I can say whenever I see pictures of Movie Wheelie. It's bad enough that they turned Jetfire into an old geezer like Animated Ratchet and G1 Kup combined, but this, this is just plain ridiculous. At this rate, Leader-1 from the Gobots will probably make a cameo appearance! I just want to know, why? Why Wheelie? The most hated character in the entire franchise, and he gets a role in the movie. Am I the only one who thinks something is wrong with that?
If Leader-1 is uber-cool, then I'd run away scared. I imagine that there'll be a decent reason for Wheelie's presnece. As for Jetfire's alterations, I'd imagined that we were all used to changes in characters between the numerous TF continuties by now.
Yes Would you rather the remote control monster truck ex-decepticon agent be named Blurr? And Jetfires movie backstory is lifted straight from G1.
