ROTF. It seems more playable. I have a MP and it just stands there. I never feel inclined to touch it.

Masterpiece. It's the best Prime out there, bar none.

Masterpiece. It IS Optimus Prime. Also, Every Leader class toy ends up going on clearance, so I'm planning to wait and pick up ROTF Prime for £20 or less.

This is not a fair question. I bought my MP when it was still $95.99 two years ago. I love it great figure. Yeah he just stands there, but so do all my TF's!

You know what both toys are gonna be around for a while. If you pick up MP now, he's not going to change at all in a year, but ROTF Prime will. He'll come out as a Premium Series Figure and his price may come down and you might kill yourself either way.

I'm stuck in a rut as to what I'm gonna do about buying ROTF Prime. Buy now, Which I so wanna do, or wait for Premiums? Either way I think there will be plenty of ROTF to go around for EVERYBODY! I just don't want to have buyers remorse later.

Two years ago I asked the same question, Leader Prime or Masterpiece. I went with Masterpiece and a year later picked up the Japanese edition of Leader Prime all chromed out. Glad I waited!

MP Prime is one of the most solid TFs I'm aware of. I've had no qualms about letting my three year old goddaughter play with him.

    ROTF.

    Masterpiece Prime is overrated, IMHO.

I picked ROTF Leader Class Prime, just because ROTF is about to hit. You will still be able to find MP Prime after all the rotf hoopla, however prices on him seem to keep going up, so It might be wise to get him before he gets anymore expensive.

I have both, and I love both. Masterpiece Prime is definately worth the money, and happens to be probably the most durable transformer ever. I've never had any problems with mine, and I have quite a few Masterpiece figures. He is also very poseable, and whoever said that he has no "playability" is deranged.

However, ROTF Leader Prime is amazing as well, and has not left my hands since I got him. I picked him, because he is what I am enjoying most right now. However, my love and collecting of all things Classic/Masterpiece will pick back up after the movie line is over with, and I'm ALWAYS glad to return.

MP all the way. I doubt that you will be disapointed with either, but he is THE Optimus Prime, and there will surely be sales throughout the year on ROTF. No need to rush to get him right off the bat. I don't have ROTF yet, so I can't say how great it is, but MP Prime is amazing. Only drawback is that once you start buying the MPs, there is no going back. You need them all.

It all depends...Are you buying it because you want an iconic prime? If so then Masterpeice is the way to go. ROTF leader is cool. I'll be getting one myself for my Birthday, but it's just not a prime that I would center my collection around.

    You can't get both, why?

One you'll have to order, the other will be in stores for the better part of at least the next two months.

You don't have to get both at once, but there are options.
