While taking a break from Prime (I will get back to him, I've just been sick, and Prime needs a good solid day of modelling to finish most of the parts) I tinkered with a little project for a couple hours this morning.

The project, I can tell you, involves galvatron. You may have seen the model before, but I just wanted to show off this particular shot cause I feel it came out exceptionally well.

    Volumetric lighting, woot!

Great. Only one question, what's that big yellow thing? His cannon? I thought it was on his right shoulder like Megatron (could be mistaken)

uhhh...last time i checked, right was right and left was left. His cannon is on his right arm.

Love the lighting on Galvy. Looks like someone from the guys who make Galaxy Force did it.

I'm really enjoying this. I have to say that is an excellent rendition of Galvatron. Your modeling skills have come a long way and this piece proves it. I look forward to seeing the final product. :)

Thanks for the high praise everyone!

In preperation for the little project I'm working on, I rigged up galvatron and did a walk cycle, trying to perfect fluidity of movement while still maintaining weight. I think I did a pretty good job, so here's the render.

It's big so you can see more of him, so it's like... 750 kb per second, and only 3 seconds, lol. But it's a nifty little download.

    Enjoy.

Well so far it looks pretty good. It seems like you've got the walk down pretty good, though I would like to see another view, say from the side, or three quarters perspective. I'll be able to make a better assessment that way. If you could to a playblast, that would be great.

One thing, is Galvatron supposed to have a "quick-paced" or "hurried" walk?

yes, he is suppossed to have a bit of hurried walk. My friend commented that it makes him seem like he's got purpose in his walk.

Plus, I wanted to make sure I could get speed and weight at the same time.

    what's a playblast?
