I was playing FOC with my nephew and we managed to finish the game. But I am wondering what will happen next? will we have a new game coming out? I am asking this cause the way FOC ended, with both Prime and Megatron fight got interrupted by the unstable space bridge portal sucking them and both starships in before closing.

As of right now there has been no mention of a sequel. All we know is that Rise of the Dark spark which comes out this month is supposed to take place during fall of Cybertron. Highmoon studios is also going through some hard times due to the failure of the deadpool game and they're currently working on a call of duty game. So maybe when Highmoon studios is back on their feet they can make a proper sequel. So if there is a sequel it won't be coming any time soon.

 

Dark Spark is AOE game?

I saw this on Wiki: Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark will be a crossover with the Transformers film series and the video game series, consisting of Transformers: War for Cybertron and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron.[4] The story will take place before the Ark is launched in the Aligned continuity, while it also occurs simultaneously with the events of Age of Extinction and its aftermath. The Dark Spark is a powerful artifact that is capable of ripping holes in dimensions, which is how the Movie-verse and the Aligned-verse crossover.

 

Yea Dark Spark is a crossover between The movies and the Cybertron games. It will allow us to play on earth as the move characters and on Cybertron as the fall of Cybertron characters. We still don't know if the characters from each universe will actually meet each other but we know the dark spark is present in both worlds

 

Technically Rise of the dark spark is a sequel to Fall of Cybertron, we should find out what happens when they go through the portal, maybe the dark spark causes the portal, anyway on the earth missions we should find out what happens with collectibles, like the voice pickups in FOC

 

I'd be very surprised if we get another Transformers game between ROTDS and the inevitable TF5 tie-in.

FOC's sales figures were mediocre, and High Moon has had its staff slashed down and been put to work doing grunt work for Activision, porting somebody else's Call of Duty game.

If we do get a non-movie video game in the near future, I'd wager it'll be something new rather than a continuation of High Moon's series.

We've been told that the Aligned universe parts of ROTDS take place during FOC, before the Ark leaves.

 

Yes and my point was we should get audio files like the ones in FOC during the EARTH missions, the EARTH missions should take place AFTER FOC

 

The Earth missions take place in a different universe to FOC.

 

How do you know that? have you played the game? They have never stated that, it might be an alernate reality but it still takes place after FOC

Hell, the article's subtitle is "two universe collide".

 

It's been states many times that they're different worlds. The Earth missions take place during and after AOE and the Cybertron missions take place before the ark launches in FOC and they have stated that many times. AOE is not cannon with the Cybertron series. So this game does not take place after FOC.

 

Decided to throw 5 bucks on a pre-order for this game yesterday at game stop. the guy told me I'd get extra characters, but I didn't press him for details does anyone know which characters come with the gs pre-order?

Walmart you get Stinger but I don't think you have to preorder to get him.

Game-wise? No clue. After Activision revealing RotDS without HMS' involvement, it's really foggy at the moment.

Story-wise, we all know what follows - they crash land on earth, slumbering for millions of years till an eruption awakens them up (sound familiar?  )

Technically, it's not. The FoC portion of the game takes places between a few of the ending episodes of Fall of Cybertron (before the final chapter), or so it has been mentioned.

Except that the game/story designers have stated that the Dark Spark has created a rift between both universes. The Earth portion of the game doesn't take place after FoC, it takes place in a different dimension/universe regardless of time/space.

No where was it mentioned, even rumored, that all Earth part of the game takes place after FoC. What has been stated is that events take place in both universes - during the last few chapters in FoC and during some time in AoE part. How this correlates time frame-wise has yet to be revealed.

We don't have the full answers yet. I bet little tidbits are being left out or (possibly) stated incorrect to throw us off till the game releases akin to how it was stated that, in Fall of Cybertron, Grimlock is supposed to be a "Space T-Rex" when in actuality he was just reformatted to a design that Shockwave discovered while briefly studying pre-historic earth.

At this point, sadly, only time will tell.

 

Dude, the two universes aren't related, they only connect through time travel. Notice how the war on Cybetron in the games clashes with the movies?

 

Wanna know how the movie Autobots and Decepticons got to earth? Watch the first movie or play the first movie game. The movies are not in the same timeline as WFC and FOC. They're different universes.
