lastmaximal of Cybertron Philippines, reporting [hope this is new]:

found this in the January issue of Previews -- a solicitation for the upcoming Allspark Power waves/refreshes. the ad copy only mentions "Bumblebee Concept Camaro" [likely the Stealth Bee pictured], Stockade and "Jungle Crusher" [Jungle Bonecrusher].

this pic of Stealth Bee looks to be different from the one that was leaked a while back, but still has the yellow inner panel sides [which means it's probably the same handpainted figure, if that].

but interestingly, below him is an unnamed red Autobot recolor of TFTM Dropkick. no huge Autobot logo in vehicle mode, just red all over with a silver grille, with an Autobot logo and some text on the driver's side door [and likely the passenger side's door as well].

apologies for the cell phone picture. :D
    [IMG]

EDIT: fixed "Previews" phrasing :D  thanks for the catch, Redline!

Neat, the vehicle mode reminds me a little of Alternators Prime.

Yeah, that's a Diamond Previews page.

Good, I was hopeful that there'd be a Dropkick repaint. I don't know if it's Salvage or not, but it's cool that it's an Autobot. I do kinda wish it were a light blue with red highlights as it reminds me so much of Gears.

I wonder how hard it would be to add a topper to the bed cover (or even in lue of the bed cover since the toy does have a full bed) cause I bet it would look good in Black as Trailbreaker.

that'd be easy as pie man. Now if you wanted the camper to be more than just a piece that you lay on the shelf, that's a different story.

The black Bumblebee looks amazing. I bet it will be hoarded. Hasbro should produce that more and not as a short pack B.S.

Hasbro's never shortpacked any Movie Bumblebee. he's been in pretty much every deluxe refresher wave.

    Bumblebe was NOT "shortpacked".

    - For the initial wave that contained '77 Bumblebee, he was packed two toys per case. That case contained eight toys total, six of them being different. The only other toy packed two per case in thatw ave was Jazz.
    - The next wave (the one that debuted Bonecrusher and Swindle) still had one Bumblebee per case. So he was technically shortpacked in that wave, but he was over-packed in the previous one.

    - '08 Bumblebee was also packed two per case in his initial wave. No other toys were packed in more quantities.
    - The next wave (the one with Payload, Longarm and Final Battle Jazz) contained eight different toys per case, one of them being Bumblebee. No shortpacking here either.
    - '08 Bumblebee was carried over into a THIRD wave (the one debuting Dropkick and Recon Barricade).

Add to that countless revision waves (wave 6 had NINE revisions!), and claiming that Bumblebee, at least the '08 version, was "shortpacked" on Hasbro's end is nothing but bullshit. If you want to blame someone for not being able to find '08 Bumblebee, blame the fucking scalpers. Hasbro released that toy. In many revised shipments.

Yeah, Hasbro has staggered waves since Cybertron in an effort to limit shelfwarmers. Of course, they decide these things months in advance of release, so they had no idea what will shelfwarm and what won't.

What's strange to begin with is that the first Dropkick toy, aside from the Decepticon emblem, already WAS the Autobot version in the game.

    That's right and wrong too!

Dropkick is a drone, created for both sides.

Für the Autobots with sculpted head, for the Decepticons with a Lensface.

    Look at this:

As best as I can tell from the photo, Dropkick looks quite nice in red. I do hope that is Salvage... because if it were, it would still leave the chance of Longarm (of whom I previously thought Salvage was sure to be a repaint) being repainted as Hoist. :D
