Bay is the worst thing that has ever happened to Transformers... don't ever forget that.

Hasbro is second! They killed Transformers in the 90's with Action Masters. The "Transformers hiatus" that many of us had to endure in the U.S. was the BEST thing to happen to the toyline. It reminded us what we had. It came back, better than ever... after a few "stumbles".

Years later, Bay makes a movie. It's awful, but makes MILLIONS! So, Hasbro starts churning out sub-par crap. TONS of sub-par crap. Some of which is still warming shelves right now.

It doesn't matter if Bay makes another film or not. People outside of the fandom will still roll their eyes and watch another emptied-headed explosion-fest in 3D to kill 3 hours of their lives... and they will reluctantly buy the figures for their children because of it.

Hasbro will count the money and send out 20 more versions of Bumblebee.

Make another movie Bay, and let the cycle continue.

Bay is the worst thing that has ever happened to Transformers... don't ever forget that.

Boy howdy, I sure do wish those Hasbro devils had never tried to mess with Transformers, then they would never have been able to ruin it!

TF: Energon was the worst thing that happened to Transformers. Horrific CGI, the plot is just as scrambled as any of Bay's TF works.

While I'm personally no great fan of BayFormers myself, I can't see this thread ending peacefully.

I just take solace from the fact that BayFormers can't last forever and it will eventually end when the general public get bored of it and it stops making the required money at the cinema and on the toy shelves and something new will have to come and replace it.

    TF1: Alright movie, alright toys.
    TF2: Suck movie, awesome toys.
    TF3: Awesome movie, suck toys.
Is anyone else seeing a pattern here?

I'm no great fan of the movies, but this thread is just like screaming "FIRE" in a packed theater.

    Ain't gonna end well.

I dunno, man. If it weren't for Bay, I wouldn't be a Transfan myself. I don't think fans of the movies are going to say this particular franchise is the pinnacle of all Transformers creation, but saying it's worse than Kiss Players and Energon is kind of pushing it ... IMHO.

All three made billions, actually. I don't buy the toys, so I can't really comment on the second part. Regardless, Bay isn't the Antichrist of Transformers. I don't think anyone saw the movies and decided they didn't like Animated anymore because the former didn't suit their fancy.

You fixed a statement that was already correct to begin with? Lol

Transformers 2007: Pretty good movie, decent toys.

Revenge Of The Fallen: Had it's moments but overall a very meh movie, the toys were great though. Lots of awesome leader-class figures.

Dark Of The Moon: Not as good as the first but far better than the second, low toy sales though because of the absence of Leader-Class Megatron and Leader-Class Shockwave.

I don't collect the toys, so all I'm taking from this is that we had to endure three shitty movies in order to propel the franchise into mainstream consciousness. Okay.

I'm guessing, however, that if I did collect the toys, I'd find this thread just as stupid.

I cant remember the last time i bought a leader class toy. They just never provide me with much fun. Voyagers are ok, but Deluxe is where my heart and soul is.

Erm. Are you channeling Deathy now? (He had this weird fixation on Leader-sized toys.)
