So at the moment, I am watching Beast Wars, as insisted by a friend on the boards. And I just finished watching Code of Hero, (not a bad episode) and it's about Megs and the gang trying to destroy a valley with early humans in it. My question is, as described in the show, do Autobots and Decepticons come before or after Maximals and Predicons? They seem to flip flop a couple of times, but in this one they make it seem as though they came afterwards, but they've mentioned the bots and cons as ancient ancestors in the past. Just wondering.
It's pretty clear if you pay attention. Maximals and Predacons are descendants from Autobots and Decepticons. Because of the transwarp drives, Pred Megatron and Primal's ships went back in time and crashed on the Earth after the Autobots had crashed but before they awoke in 1984.
Yep. Timeline goes like this: G1 - Autobots and Decepticons, Great War. Autobots win. Post War- Rise of Maximals and Predacons Beast Wars- Megatron and his crew of Predacons travel back in time to prehistoric Earth in an attempt to change the outcome of G1. And there you go.

Beast Wars is basically a Transformers version of Back to the Future, when Primal takes the matrix from Prime, it's just like Marty McFly getting "friendly" with his Mom. *waits for someone to quote this in thier sig*
