The project itself is legit, but we don't know what the project is yet.  

 

Hmm, wonder how big he will be? Voyager sized? Masterpiece sized ala Quake Wave? Looks like he has quite a backpack on him too.

 

IIRC this figure is to be 6.5" in height and will most likely NOT be Shockwave.

 

6.5 is correct.
We have not seen the final reveal yet as far I I understand, but it appears (at least initially) as if the three mold-uses they have shown so far (Perceptor, Brainwave and Shockwave) will be available thru PSX in some capacity, MMC stated this in a comment on their Facebook page.

how, in what ways and for how much it/they will be available remains shrouded in mysterious mystery.

Well, I'm already in for FP's Smartrobin, but I might still pick up all three of the figures they've revealed, depending on how much the "final" reveal steals their thunder.  

I loves me some Perceptor and Shockwave, and this mold is a great fit for both of them. Especially since I have neither represented in my CHUGS collection right now (I try to forgot about FoC Shockwave existing) I am all for some new figures for them.

The fact that they're being produced by my all time favorite 3p company is just icing on the cake.
