For a great deal of time now, I have been writing a new TFs style cartoon. Its based off of the movie universe and more or less picks up right after DOTM. Keep in mind this is going to be a cartoon and not a movie and I have already written 15 episodes out of 20 for a full season. I have also added a bit of a twist to it tho. Some of you may know but not very many do know that I have been pushing for Hasbro to make a 3rd faction in this universe that Me and a co-partner have spent almost 4 years now creating, trademarking and pushing to get licensed. I call them the Shadowcons and at this point I have now 45 Shadowcons created. The Shadowcons were at one point Cybertronian but were corrupted much like The Fallen and Megatron were but the Shadowcons are corrupted to a much higher extent in that they have been changed into these shadow/dark energy-like entities that instead of scanning a car, truck or jet and changing their outside appearance to look like the scanned object. They instead merge with the object and become it. Its more of a symbiotic relationship thing.

My question to you all is... if I could get this turned into a cartoon and merge my idea of these Shadowcons as a new powerful 3rd faction that threatens both the Autobots and Decepticons, would any of you sign a petition to show Hasbro that you would at least give this idea a chance and see if it could work?

 

Have you tried asking them if the idea could be incorporated into Prime?

 

no as trust me... there is already going to be a lot going on in PRIME. What im working on is cartooning this more like the movie style and not like the PRIME style of cartooning. They know of my idead and i have shown it to them and even had sit downs but at this time, they are still unsure that a fan base could come of it. So... im still writing season 1 and getting the cartooning started in a few months so it (could) be ready to go if need be.

yes sire. later this month, i will be releasing some of the writing for parts of episode 1 so people can read it and get a feel for where im going and what i aim to do with this cartoon.

 

If this is all true then I'll support trying it out. It sounds interesting.

 

depends on how it goes with the first chapter, as much as I like Prime, I only watch it for consistency and writing mostly.

How can you trademark stuff that's derivative of hasbro's trademarks? or are you leaving out the cybertron bit?
