This is an episode of Batman: TAS. Incidentally though, this particular episode was a part of the Batman Superman Adventures on the WB back in the nineties. Now, this particular episode threw a major pie in Joel Schumacher's face with a hilarious parody. I put both parts up here, since I recommend watching the entire thing due to its awesomeness. But, if you want the immediate Schumacher parody, click on Part 2. YouTube - Legends of the Dark Knight part 1 YouTube - Legends of the Dark Knight part 2
Oh man! I remember this episode! They took part of the "Dark Knight Returns" fight (athered it abit if I remembered correctly)! Was the kid fooling with feather boas meant to be Joel?
I clicked this thread thinking Joel would actually get a pie in his face. Therefore, it fails massively. Oh, and it's old too. double fail.
It would be a lot funnier if Batman Forever wasn't the only good one to come out of those four films.
I know. A film starring Chris O'Donnell and Jim Carrey is the good one. Just shows how overrated Tim Burton is.
Well, I will say this for Schumacher's movies: where they fail as superhero action flicks, they are successful as humorous and campy spoofs.
Optimus Sledge you can't be serious..... You really thought Batman forever was the best? It's like you live in bizarro world!
It's got a Batman who's bothered to lift some weights, a Batsuit that Batman can actually move in, it bothers to explain some stuff about Batman, it doesn't have Tim Burton crapping on everything in sight after a heavy meal of goth, it doesn't have George Clooney. Yeah, it's the best.
When I saw that episode, and heard Michael Ironside do the voice of the Frank Miller Batman, i wept a little. That was the voice i had in mind when i read the Graphic Novel/TPB. and yeah they even called Boa Boy "Joel". Joel's art director should be stuck to tagging subways for what he did to a franchise.
I honestly thought (and still do) that DeVito's Penguin was neat... That episode of BTAS is one of my favorites. If only they would do a full-length animated movie of DKR.
I'm going to quate a friend and say that the Tim Burton movies are good Tim Burton movies that just happen to have Batman in them. I still enjoy them, but they aren't good Batman movies. The Joel Schumacher ones are just crap....however.... he at least apologized for the movies he gave us, he was more focused on making a family fun movie, which they were. Still a crapfest of movies. Batman Begins and Dark Knight I think are good Batman movies that highlight what Batman is about.
