hey there to everyone this evening. i got this real crazy idea for a new version of Ironhide. tomorrow ill begin prepping for painting. I even thought of reshelling but not sure yet. as always C and C welcome.
...well, he's already been turned into a pickup and an SUV, why not a sports car? XD Though of course now that you point it out, the chest piece DOES look strikingly similar to his usual portrayal. This mold also has some serious muscle to it without looking too stocky and SG Drift shows it looks fabulous in red, so this isn't really as crazy an idea as it might seem, I'm excited to see where this goes! It works as a sort of younger Ironhide, I guess.
thanks for the kind words, i have begun prepping him for painting, which ill do sometime this week. And Ironhides head is on a balljoint so he an look side to side, down and up.
Just not doing it for me. The head seems out of place and the body is more lean athlete than the bulky muscle guy I think of when I picture IH. I'm liking the imaginative part though. You might change my mind by the time you're done. Good luck!
It could be a younger ironhide. After all Captain America was lean...well...until the government pumped him full of super human steroids.
reminds me of the machine wars optimus prime in that it's like a younger version of the character. kind of a weird idea, but it works if your mind is open enough.
well i have learned what not to do when painting a figure, i forgot to put tape around a piece to reconnect the feet so the post broke on me. and the color scheme was coming out good. I thought about putting him back together and posting his bot mode - a foot. at least im learning as i go.
