Probably because I play way more Ark than is healthy for my mental balance, I could NOT look at Skullsmasher without seeing it as a prehistoric crocodile, which led me straight to thinking of Dinobots (or Dinotrons, in my personal alterverse canon). So without further ado... Freight was a minitron hauler vehicle. She was a small but powerful truck, who spent millions of years as a transport vehicle, with her converting trailer. Freight was the only hauler whose trailer did not convert into a flyer or a weapons platform - her trailer became a boat, making her one of the few haulers able to transport across water (which saved fuel costs versus airlifting in many cases). She was an avid newsreader, and soon came to idolize Grimlock - the leader of the Dinotrons - following his exploits in the war against Primus. Eventually she decided that throwing off the tyranny of Primus was the duty of all Cybertrons, and she asked Shockwave to design a new body for her. Since she has a loadbearer spark, Shockwave gave her the option of bonding with her trailer to become a larger, much more powerful bot. Freight (still obsessed with Grimlock) asked to have her new body convert into a saurian mode as she was determined to join the Dinotrons. Shockwave complied, giving her the body of a Sarcosuchus, which allowed her to continue operating on land and in water. Taking the name of Snap, she applied for membership in the growing ranks of the Dinotrons - and was accepted on probation. Grimlock finds her adulation annoying, but the other Dinotrons find her "crush" on their leader amusing. Nobody, however, finds her amusing on the battlefield, where her strength and savagery are ample proof to all that she is truly a Dinotron in her spark. With her railgun mounted on her beastmode back, she can snipe aerial opponents from any distance in visual range - including low orbit. Her chainsword can slice through almost any armour, and her tail-lance keeps opponents at a distance - in addition to having a blaster in the tip, for point-blank shots when she stabs them. The grey is a mix of Testors 3/4 flat grey and 1/4 flat aluminum. The chrome is Pyramid chrome plate spray paint Gold is Testors (except on the cockpit flap and upper palate, which is Americana Acrylic) Black is Mar-Hyde Black Satin Automotive Trim Red is Standox water-based auto paint, Volkswagen red (I can't remember the colour code). All topped with a coat of Testors glossy clearcoat to bring a nice sheen to the flat paints and tone down the chrome from mirrored to simply shiny. Hind feet are from a Zoid Flyscissors Front claws and hind legs are from a Zoid Demonshead Railgun is from a Zoid Diploguns Chainsword is from a Zoid Mosasledge The head *may* be replaced once Clobber is available in Canada
Shit, I never realized just how Dinobot-y that mold really is! I've always said that I want some sort of dinocroc in the dinobots, and this definitely lives up to my expectations. All she needs is that cool Dinobot logo from FOC, but this is still awesome!
I think the only think you need, as maximus_primal stated, is a fin to turn it into a Dimetrodon. Either a shapeway piece, hacking one off a plastic dinosaur toy, or Scorn's sail. That said... you have no idea how much I want this.
Thank you Inorite? I was thinkinh of using some of my spares from the Reprolabels sets for the Planet X figures, but I prefer the hologlow to the cyberglow for this series and there aren't any hologlow Dinobot symbols (yet) I considered a fin for a different dinosaur, but I wanted the Sarco. And I could have given her longer legs and added a neck to make a Spinosaur, but Scorn already (sort of) exists, so... Thank you A Dimetrodon has a stubbier face, though you could always substitute the head from a TFP Laserback. Thank you
That's looks great, and I see why she is part of group of dinosaur theme Female Autobots (I guessing?)
