I pulled out some of my TF1 toys recently and I got to thinking; the classic Camaro Bumblebee is pretty lacking compared to the concept version. It seems like they could easily use the same general transformation schematic from the concept figure (and more likely, its retools, preview and cannon BB) for the '70s version of the car. Now the odds of this happening are pretty unlikely, given he's not going to revert to his old form in the new movie, but who else would be interested in it were such a figure to be produced?
I find the Classic Camaro much more appealing than the concept mold, and anyway, the proportions are all wrong to apply that transformation scheme.
I have no experiance with any of the movie toys other than Scorponok so i can't really say, this is something i shall correct with TF2 figs
I love the old Camaro..I wish Bee would revert to the 74 version, because, yeah it's not a WV Beetle or other small car, it's still a beat up machine, and to me, perfectly in line with Bumblebee being the least cool or crappiest alt Autobot. Turning into a modern sports car just..well, it doesn't take away my enjoyment but it doesn't feel right. If they'd make a better 74 Camaro toy I'd buy it.
