That is an upgrade piece, never promoted with original figure, same as smoke head for scoria. TW one is a messup, and was supposed to come with figure, as shown on boxart.

I don't even own the figure but it bugs me. Arcee isn't even RELATED to that figure. At least Dinobot heads usually come with other Dinobots etc. Next thing will be to include gestalt parts with triggercons...

 

I think we'll have to disagree on that one. Obviously people would prefer a toon head. They don't have to bundle the toon head together with the box but include it as an add on piece anyways.

 

It's apparently never coming out.

 

Zomg! I want to make zero effort but also want to know what happened!! Somebody fill me in with all the relevant information and if you could come over and roll me out of the wet spot that would be great!!

Totallly agree, I have a feeling the TW redesigned Bruticus is going to take the criticism of the Zeta version and improve upon it. So that means a cleaner and more G1 Blastoff and Vortex robot modes. But the Zeta bruticus alt modes that were shown were amazing looking.

Going to wait for the TW version.

Jazz,Kup,Springer,Arcee and the seekers are being released. So Coolsvile is still happening.

I'm gonna have a go at removing the white paint on the stock face before I resort to buying an Arcee figure I don't want.

 

More communication than we've had from Fansproject in a year

 

Chosen Prime still has him slated to release in about two weeks, but I doubt that will happen. Usually we see all kinds of pre release stuff and we just haven't with him.

I hope he comes out soon. He is by far the most anticpated non Bayverse toy out there I still need for my MOP collection. Oddly enough I actually like him better than the FT version.

 

Didn't Sovereign or Lupus come with a head/face for Tesla? How are they related? And it's not like it's an essential piece, just an option.

In any case, I'm not saying that it is or isn't a good practice, I'm just saying it's absurd to treat TW like the devil for doing it when FansToys is worshipped like a god around here and they do the exact same thing.

 

Hell even the much maligned KFC was quick to send out replacement knees and ankles for Ditka, in record time no less, with no additional purchase.

Right, but there's a world of difference between replacing parts because they were faulty and offering an alternate head for an already complete figure with a different figure.

 

Sure, but technically the head is faulty. They stated as much. I was really just kinda playing devils advocate. I don't care either way, since it's just paint I'll just strip it off myself and call it good.

 

IDK... Unique Toys is doing a pretty much dead-on G1 update of Bruticus so... if that Combiner is half as great as UT's other stuff I'm not sure I'll care about a TW version. Of course I tell myself this now... so we'll see when the time comes.

 

Toyworld ignored my emails ages ago when I got a defective Brainwave and the retailer didn't have a replacement. They didn't even finish the set anyways.

 

I saw the first prototypes, and I'm not so sure they are Masterpiece sized yet. So I'm not sure that will even interest me.

 

While it'd be nice if every release was perfect for everyone, I'm glad they are make ng alternative parts available period. Whether it's available for purchase separately or included with other figures (use the bst or eBay guys, it's not the end of the world), I'm just glad the options are available.

I 've always been able to find the parts I needed out of the forum and most members are willing to sell these things cheap or free.
