What's this talk about a Mercedes E550? I didn't see any pictures or news or videos. So what all this about a Mercedes E550?
I think the character initially believed to be Jolt is actually the Mercedes. Here's a close up pic of the car in question on set and behind BB: From a distance, the color might make it seem like it's Jolt, and there is some support for Jolt being in Chicago, but so far the Mercedes is the only blue/purple car. I'm sure that if Jolt was going to be filmed by this point of production, we'd have gotten pictures.
Maybe, maybe not. I really don't know. On the one hand, it's around the same color, so maybe he reformatted but retained the color somehow. He might even have an actual line to say now, too. On the other hand, he was for the most part frogetable in ROTF save the fact he gave Prime the power armor (and even then he hardly showed up). While his absence would be a slight continuity problem, it's not like the trilogy doesn't already have them (I.E. Barricade, wherever the hell The Fallen came from, etc.)
I can't remember G1 that well, but was there a character that maybe had a German accent of was a German car... maybe it's an homage?
lol, i can't remember G1 all to well either...but I think you may be right. but Wheeljack is a very smart Autobot - wouldn't be surprised if they make him German in this one
I think it maybe a new Autobot becuase of the fact Jolt is a Chevy Volt and this is a Mercedes E550, and I looked at each trunk of the cars and they don't match.
i dunno this is atough call onthis guy. its just weird seeing euro plates in the US i honestly dont even think it would be legal street wise for it if im not mistaken. its gotta be a autbot or somthing only thing that makes sense. but then my mind is telling me its a human car
With a German plate theres no way thats a human car. Maybe its part of the nascar trio that might form menasor?
It's weird... because I just don't see that kind of car being a Transformer. I don't know why, it just seems really plain, or un-interesting. All of the Autobots so far have had really interesting car modes.
agree with DecepticonsRule, the car is unspectacular and looks kinda lame, and i dont think its a decepticon.
The colors of the two cars are basically the same. They even have the black roof. I'm certain that Jolt reformatted.
See, that's where I would disagree. So what if the car looks cool and draws attention? Considering that these are robots who are tying to HIDE IN PLAIN SIGHT, I'd figure that uninteresting alt. modes would be the most logical cover identites.
