in g1 the first season the autobots where centered on protecting humans and the decepticons getting energy. in animated the first season i almost the same except of getting energy it is getting the key or the all spark.

I think I know what you're saying, but thats not a homage, its a premise.

Its like saying that they're transforming robots that turn into cars is a homage too.

But seriously, if English is your first language, you need to study more.

 

In TF:Victory the Autobots are protecting humans while the Decepticons steal energy. Autobots protecting humans while Decepticons steal energon was the deal of the day in TF: Energon.

Protecting humans and trying to get the latest mcguffin (be it energy or a device) is generally what Transformers has always been about (except maybe in BW and BM).

 

I would say you are over analyzing.

 

No kidding, it's not only a premise, but the premise of almost EVERY single TF fiction.

Hey guys, I found another homage! In G1, the good guys were called Autobots, and the bad guys Decepticons! Guess what they are called in Animated...?! 1!!1


 

 

The basic ideals of Transformers is a homage to Transformers....hmmm

 

An obvious homage is no one caught is when a rookie (Armada Hot Shot/Animated Bumblebee) getting duped by a faction-changer (Armada Sideways/Animated Shockwave)

 

another homage is the parallels season 1 of animated has to the live action movie.

 

Seasons 1 and 2 of G1 were very earth based, with 3 being a bit more space-y.
